BREAKING EVIL SIEGE

2 KINGS 6:24-25 ‘And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria. And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a kab of doves dung for five pieces of silver.’

A siege is a military operation in which enemy forces surround a town, cutting off essential supplies to compel people to surrender. It is an evil force controlling a person’s movement. The siege determines how far you will go in life and destiny. When a man is under a siege – 1 Kings 20:3-4; Thy silver and thy gold is mine; thy wives also and thy children, even the goodliest, are mine. And the king of Israel answered and said, It is according to thy saying, my lord, O king; I am thine, and all that I have.

~ The best in life are not yours to enjoy

~ He begins to negotiate with the devil

~ He loses his family and authority

~ His bedroom becomes the enemy’s field

~ He experiences great famine – 2 kings 6:24-25

~ His destiny helpers becomes helpless – 2 Kings 6:26-27

Testimony: A young man saw a mysterious sight in his room; he had been suffering from witchcraft attack for weeks. As we began prayers, on the third day; he saw a bird weaving on his door net with nine safety pins physically. He returned to continue prayers and called on God for battle. To God’s glory, that was the end of that witchcraft oppressions and God sent him free from that bondage and torment.

1. DECIDE TO END THE SIEGE: 1 Kings 20:7-9

Our determination and decision to end the frustration matter in our journey to victory. In spiritual warfare, Satan hears your actions louder than your confession. The decision does not end in your lips. Act it while you say it. This is why you may rebuke the devil and he may not flee until he sees that you truly mean it. This calls for boldness – confront the enemy. Stop procrastinating spiritual battles – engage in it and possess your victory.

Testimony: A lady swallowed a seed of beans in her dreams and coughed uncontrollably for years. A strange hand opened her mouth in the dream and forcefully threw a bean seed in her mouth, this started happening immediately after her marriage proposal. She was almost mad due to the cough. The day she came, I thought she was mentally ill until she began to talk sensibly. Nobody wants to marry a mad person but after days of deliverance prayers, she was delivered. Glory to God, she got married and began having her children immediately after the prayers.

Sometimes, what we are suffering are as a result of the battles and encounters in our dreams that we were careless to handle prayerfully.

2. ENGAGE THE DIVINE EYE: 1 Kings 2:13-14

Enquire of the Lord. Our ability to engage the divine eyes of God helps us to be ahead of the enemy. In the spiritual warfare, you don’t win wars if you are in blackout. The more current information you receive makes you a victor. Even while you sleep, let your spiritual eyes be opened. Spiritual blindness is the worst spiritual deformity. Spiritual blindness can turn a victor to a victim – 2 Kings 6:15-17 ‘And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, a host with horses and chariots was round about the city. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not; for they that are with us are more than they that are with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Jehovah, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And Jehovah opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.’ Every spiritual domain or environment that you see; is yours to seize.

3. PERSIST ON PRAYER WITH FASTING: Mark 9:28-29 ‘And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, How is it that we could not cast it out? And he said unto them, This kind can come out by nothing, save by prayer.

Prayers with fasting are two spiritual weapons of victory in spiritual warfare. Fasting gives us access into the supernatural. A natural man cannot command the supernatural. A civilian cannot command an army. Spiritual warfare is not fun fare – party. Fasting takes us to the realm and praying the word of God launches attacks in the enemy’s camp. – James 5:16 ‘The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.’
