VIII. MAIN BODY:

Proverbs 6:26 (Amplified Bible)

For on account of a harlot a man is brought to a piece of bread, and the adulteress stalks and snares [as with a hook] the precious life [of a man].

Proverbs 6:26 (King James Version)

For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

A. A man is brought to a piece of bread

"For on account of a harlot a man is brought to a piece of bread,"

Whorish, harlot or "zanah" in Hebrew meaning: to commit adultery, to commit idolatry, to commit fornication.

Because of a whore, a paid woman, a hospitality girl in the world's lingo nowadays, a pick up girl, a man is thought of a piece of food for the harlot. A man is a means of payment for food. That's only the value of a man in the harlot's heart, rather than to be a leader (both physical and spiritual) of a family and a father for the sons and daughters.

Ephesians 6:4 (Amplified Bible)

Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment], but rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord.

Colossians 3:21 (Amplified Bible)

Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or fret your children [do not be hard on them or harass them], lest they become discouraged and sullen and morose and feel inferior and frustrated. [Do not break their spirit.]

Proverbs 5:10 (Amplified Bible)

Lest strangers [and false teachings] take their fill of your strength and wealth and your labors go to the house of an alien [from God]—

Proverbs 29:3 (Amplified Bible)

Whoever loves skillful and godly Wisdom rejoices his father, but he who associates with harlots wastes his substance.

Luke 15:13-15 (Amplified Bible)

And not many days after that, the younger son gathered up all that he had and journeyed into a distant country, and there he wasted his fortune in reckless and loose [from restraint] living.

And when he had spent all he had, a mighty famine came upon that country, and he began to fall behind and be in want.

So he went and forced (glued) himself upon one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed hogs.

Luke 15:30 (Amplified Bible)

But when this son of yours arrived, who has devoured your estate with immoral women, you have killed for him that [wheat-] fattened calf!

Immoral or harlots only means money. They are paid to give you little time of pleasure but in exchange a life of remorse.

B. The harlot will hunt for the precious life

"and the adulteress stalks and snares [as with a hook] the precious life [of a man]"

Soon the harlot will not be content in your money alone, but she will hunt for your treasure, your loved life and will attack them also with intrigues and bad news.

Proverbs 23:27 (Amplified Bible)

For a harlot is a deep ditch, and a loose woman is a narrow pit.

Proverbs 6:26 (Amplified Bible)

For on account of a harlot a man is brought to a piece of bread, and the adulteress stalks and snares [as with a hook] the precious life [of a man].

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are Both Wisdom and Power that is to be desired within us that protects and hides us from harlots.
