Called,loved, And Kept

Summary: With Jude, every believer can celebrate the fact that we are called by God, loved by God, and kept by Jesus Christ.
1Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,
To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by[1] Jesus
Christ:
1. CALLED
"For many are invited, but few are chosen."
And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you
from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[ 8:28
Some manuscripts And we know that all things work together for good to those who
love God] who[ 8:28 Or works together with those who love him to bring about what is
good–with those who] have been called according to his purpose
To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be
holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ–their Lord and ours:
God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is
faithful.
But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in
such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the
sinful nature[ 5:13 Or the flesh; also in verses 16, 17, 19 and 24] ; rather, serve one
another in love.
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know
the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the
saints,
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to
God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his
wonderful light.
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you
were called so that you may inherit a blessing
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have
suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast
2. LOVED BY GOD
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an
atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another
3. KEPT
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole
spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the
hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the
earth.
CONCLUSION:
1) If you don’t know Christ you can give your life to him and then reap the benefits
of being Called, Loved, and Kept
2) If you know Christ already, you can celebrate and appreciate the fact that we
are Called, Loved, and Kept!
