That you may [reverently] fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son’s son, and keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

Hear therefore, O Israel, and be watchful to do them, that it may be well with you and that you may increase exceedingly, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in a land flowing with milk and honey.

Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord [the only Lord].

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Circumcision of the heart

"And the Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants,"

Deuteronomy 10:16 (Amplified Bible)

So circumcise the foreskin of your [minds and] hearts; be no longer stubborn and hardened.

Romans 2:29 (Amplified Bible)

But he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and [true] circumcision is of the heart, a spiritual and not a literal [matter]. His praise is not from men but from God.

Colossians 2:11 (Amplified Bible)

In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts).

It's a spiritual circumcision we're talking about not a physical one but it has similarity involves the removing of the calous heart of flesh until all that remains is the Spirit of GOD within us, that cries Abba Father.

Galatians 4:6 (Amplified Bible)

And because you [really] are [His] sons, God has sent the [Holy] Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba (Father)! Father!

B. Love the LORD GOD

"to love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with all your being, that you may live."

1. With all mind

2. With all heart

3. With all my being

Real living is loving the Creator, loving your Maker. Greatest tragedy worst than death is that in your own initiative, you never realized to thank your Maker by loving Him back.

Deuteronomy 6:5 (Amplified Bible)

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being and with all your might.

Loving people is what makes us human different from the animals, and the highest love we can give is to love our Maker/Creator back and applying that love to human beings as well.

Matthew 22:37 (Amplified Bible)

And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

1 John 4:7 (Amplified Bible)

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him].

It's a progression, if you can't think of loving GOD in your mind, how can you love GOD from the heart and then loved Him from your own being.

IX. CONCLUSION:

GOD will change our heart from within not us, so just come to Him so He can enable us to love Him back.

Deuteronomy 6:5 (Amplified Bible)

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being and with all your might.
