Summary: The moment you come into a covenant relationship with our almighty God, you become blessed, protected, nourished, cherished, cared and pampered!

Children of the King!

Exodus 6:8”I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.'"

Mary, daughter of a domestic servant, studies in our Abide School along with her brother Moses; she joined as a very rebellious, messy and dirty girl, I was kind of getting frustrated because of her persistent disobedience. Her little brother is equally naughty, mischievous and unruly; together they were driving me up the wall. But my joy knew no bounds when I began to see improvement, not only in her studies but overall in her dressing and outward appearance. Mary started also getting good rank and was also given leadership role in her class, recently we gave her a steel tiffin box as gift. When I watch her now neat, clean with oiled, combed hair it gives me a lot of encouragement.

Her mother came to me after a few days and asked me, ‘why was she given a tiffin box and how was she studying.’ I was aghast! The father had come for the parents meeting, the report card was given to the parents; yet, both of them were unable to understand the meaning behind the lovely gift that was given to their daughter! When I said she stood second in her class, the mother was unable to understand but she folded both her hands with tears brimming her eyes and said, ‘I’m happy that she is doing well and I’m thankful to you for taking care of my children.’ It was a jubilant and delightful moment for all the efforts that we had taken towards these kids!

You know what, like that poor, illiterate mother who did not know the blessings that her daughter had already possessed, the children of God are sitting inside the church unaware of who they are, what they possess and who they worship. Are you listening? The moment you come into a covenant relationship with our almighty God, you become blessed, protected, nourished, cherished, cared and pampered! Someone needs to hear this today! Many Christians live defeated lives because they fail to understand their identity in Christ! Regarding this, Apostle Paul said, “What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened..”(Romans 11:7)

Friend, you get this knowledge only when you scroll the Bible back and forth! You can go to church, get water baptized, speak in tongues; yet, you will not have victory when you don’t realize who is on your right hand side. As you read this, remember, He is there on your right hand side! Why do you fear? Tell me.

Many youngsters would ask me, ‘ sister, we are amazed at your confidence and your intimacy with God.’ My reply: ‘I know who I belong to. I’m not an orphan, I belong to the King. I was once lost, hungry, ignored and rejected but now I’m found by my Chief Shepherd Jesus Christ, now I’m well fed and recognized by my Dad Jesus. No disease has power over me because I’m washed by His precious blood and His Hands all are over me.’ People who post big scriptures on their facebook wall and whatsup status should first understand what that means. We are children of the KING! I’m simply thrilled!
