Counterfeiting Of Our Salvation Series

Summary: This message address the problem we see today in our churches with people not being saved. Many have been given false hope by being told all you must do is repeat this prayer,.. but still they are not saved, We also address the problem of doubt
Their are many things that Satan has counterfeited in the church. We have preach on many like, the resurrection, Word of God, Praise, and Worship.
Some we just don't have time to get to but I want to make you aware of; The Joy of God, the Pupit, the Love of God.
Satan has been very active in our churches so that he can lead us astray and make us loss our effectiveness for the Lord. Today we want to take a look at Salvation.
Salvation
Ps 18:1-6
I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Many people today are hanging on to false hope.
Satan tells people that all you need to do is go to church on Sunday Morning, and you will be ok. You don’t need to accept Jesus as your Saviour.
Satan tells other to just go shake the preachers hand, you will be alright.
Still others he tells, all you have to do is be a good person. God want send any one to Hell.
But one of this biggest counterfeit’s the devil has sold to the church is this one.
Its three words. Satan has given false assurance to millions of people by these three words.
“Repeat after me” or “Say this prayer”
They may be some here that has done that, and if you did I want you to listen to me very carefully.
“DID YOU MEAN IT”

So many people repeat a prayer that comes from the ears and not the HEART.
Its been said by others so let me repeat it. Many will miss Heaven by 18”.
The distance between the Brain and the Heart.
Today the Baptist is leading the charge on trying to get people saved,… but you must remember. People are liars. They will say anything and do anything to get you to leave them along.
For this reason, if I’m out and I show someone how to be saved,… after going thru the scripture with them, and its now time to make a commitment. I would tell them that they need to ask God to,…
(1) Admit that they are a sinner,
(2) ask Jesus to Forgive them of their sins,
(3) And then give them eternal life, by coming into their heart and saving them.
Then I would tell them that I am going to start praying and that I will introduce them to Jesus, an its up to them to pray and do the rest.
So just like I said I would start praying something like this.
Jesus, I come before you today with, _______, and they have something they would like to ask you.
Then I would say to ______, While Jesus is listening, _______, why don’t you ask Him?
The I shut up. I don’t say another word. Every time that I do this I have heard the sweetest and most heart felt prayers that you have every imagine.
Some times there is emotion involved, other times there is not. It does not take emotions to be saved. It takes meaning business with God.
After they have prayed, I tell them they need to get into church. I tell them that I would like them to be my guest Sunday and that I wanted them to meet some other Christians like them. I get them to promise (not me) but God that they will come, and then I talk to them about baptism and so on.
Satan has counterfeited the plan of Salvation.
How has he done that?
By given people false hope.
