Psalm 34:17

God does something the moment an individual falls at the foot of the cross. It is instantaneous. The moment we make Jesus our Lord and our Savior, exercising faith in His provided salvation, God declares us righteous. We are not righteous under our own merit nor is there anything we can do within our own ability to make us righteous. Only God can declare one righteous. At the foot of the cross, God declares the repentive sinner righteous! In the book of Romans, the Apostle Paul refers to it as justification by faith.

You may be asking “in the midst of my current trouble, how is this significant to me?” “How is it relevant to my life and what I’m going through right now?” My burden is great. There does not seem to be any relief in sight. I’m saved through Christ, but I’m experiencing great trouble.

I have a Word from the Lord for you today. God hears your cry and deliverance from your trouble is on the way! The reason that God hears your cry in the midst of affliction is because He has declared you righteous through Jesus Christ and what He did for you at the cross.

GOD HEARS YOU.

What is your hearts cry? What have you been crying out to God for day and night? Don’t waiver. The devil wants to discourage you. The devil wants you to think that God is not hearing you; that you can not move the heart of God. Don’t believe the devil for he is a liar. Don’t believe his lies!

God hears you when you cry out to Him! You move the heart of God! God’s Word declares that (Psalms 34:17 NIV) “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them".

DELIVERANCE IS ON THE WAY!

On our journey from earth to glory, we will face trouble. We will have troubling times. Jesus, our example, came into our world and faced trouble. Jesus knows what troubling times feels like. On His journey, in the midst of constant affliction, He prayed and cried out to God. Jesus has led us by example. Deliverance came to Jesus by way of the cross and deliverance comes to us by way of the cross! On the other side of the cross, Jesus was glorified.

Beloved, in the midst of your affliction, as you cry out to God, rest assured that deliverance is on the way. God’s word says (Psalms 34:17 NIV) “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." This verse not only indicates that the righteous will live a life of trouble, but it also proclaims that God will deliver them from ALL trouble as they pray and cry out to Him!

Allow trouble to trigger your cry to God. Go to God in prayer. God will hear you because He has declared you righteous in Jesus Christ. Walk in total confidence that deliverance is coming. God is making a way and He is delivering you from all of your troubles. He is not going to do it half way. He will get you all the way across the Red Sea on dry ground. After He gets you across the Red Sea, He will take you across the Jordan on dry ground. He will bring down the walls of Jericho that stand in your way. He will get you through the wilderness and out of the desert and take you into the promise land. He will make provision for you through unlikely sources and means. Along the way, He will bring you out of the fiery furnace and you won’t even smell like smoke. He will bring you out of the lions den with all of your limbs attached. He will enable and empower you to bare your cross and will exalt you to glory.

Beloved, give God praise and glory! He hears you in the midst of your troubles. Deliverance is on the way!
