Summary: Combating fear on our Christian journey; Receiving our promises.

" FACING A FEARLESS YEAR {2016} Deuteronomy 3:16 " The Lord your God ... Will never leave you nor forsake you." Just like Israel was afraid as they camped on the eastern banks of the Jordan River, newness brings on the spirit of fear in you. But God, has not given us the spirit of fear. They was within eyesight of the Promise Land {that flowed with milk and honey}. But there is always a test for the trying of our faith which worketh patience. They faced strong giants, hostile tribes that ruled Canaan and even bad news. Moses tells them he will not enter into the new land with them, leaving them with an emotional complex of desperation. They had no leadership and they failed to seek God for strength and courage. We maybe subjective to similar situations in our lives, as we face daily oppositions. Just like Israel, we too fail to seek God for strength and courage. But Moses casts out doubt and reassures Israel, that God is with them. We have even a greater assurance that God's Son { Jesus~Emmanuel }, born in Bethlehem's stable, allowed Himself to be forsaken on Calvary by the Father so we will NEVER be forsaken. So as we face the unknown, the tests, the trials, the challenges, all marked by God's promises and God's presence; We can say we with great confidence "THE LORD YOUR GOD...WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU"
