FIVE TRUTHS ABOUT WAITING

1. GRACIOUS WAITING:

Isaiah.30:18.

The Lord waits to be gracious and merciful. The period of grace in our lives should be used to receive God’s mercy and we should manifest genuine repentance for our sins.We should not mistake God’s patience as God’s approval of our errors. God is waiting for us to repent and turn from our transgressions. He is giving us a grace period to rectify our lives.

2. GREVIOUS WAITING:

Genesis.15:16. II Peter.2:9.

The Lord waits to be grevious until the people become ripe for judgement. When we despise the period of grace in our lives then we enter the danger zone and become objects of God’s wrath.. God waits until the right time to punish and judge the wicked. Sometimes punishment does not come immediately because God is waiting for their cup of iniquity to be full before pouring out His wrath on the wicked .

3. GROWING WAITING:

I.Timothy.3:6.

The Lord wants us to wait until we grow up to the necessary level of maturity. Often God delays the blessing until we become mature enough to handle it.

Many times we are impatient and plead with God to grant our requests at once. But in His infinite wisdom knows that we are not ready to handle it. Therefore God waits until we grow into the necessary level of maturity and stability before He grants our desires.

4. GROANING WAITING:

Psalm.102:19,20.

Sometimes the Lord allows us to go through a period of groaning. Difficult times and severe problems become part of our lives. We cry out in agony and the Lord delivers us in his own time and in his own way. The people of Israel were groaning in Egypt for many years and their cry came up before God and He delivered them..

5. GLORIOUS WAITING:

Titus 2:13.

For a believer, the time on earth is a glorious waiting period for the blessed etemity. Everyday we come closer to the time of redemption from this world. We have a glorious future to look forward to. We need not live in a gloomy and hopeless condition. We live our lives with a glorious expectation.
