Good evening, we've come together this evening to
praise God, to be a witness of our Christian faith, and
to celebrate and honor the life of ________________.

Scripture: Psalm 23: A Psalm of David.
"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me
beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides
me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and
Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup

Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all
the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the
LORD forever."

John 14:1-6 says; "'Do not let your heart be troubled;
believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's
house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I
would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again
and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you
may be also. And you know the way where I am going.'
Thomas said to Him, 'Lord, we do not know where You
are going, how do we know the way?' Jesus said to
him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one
comes to the Father but through Me.'"

When Jesus said this He knew in a few hours He
would be hanging on a cross for you and me, so He
prepared His disciples to face the future without fear.

He told His disciples, "Do not let your hearts be
troubled ", we can also apply this to our own hearts
and lives today.

As Christians, we're exposed to troubles, sorrow and
suffering sometimes on a daily basis.

This scripture teaches us is that while we can't prevent
the losses in our life, we are able to find the strength in
the Lord to get us through them.

When Jesus suggested to us that we "trust in God; and
trust also in Christ." He was actually saying, "You have
trusted God, now it's time to trust in Me!"

Jesus reveals something amazing to us in verse 2. "In
My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were
not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a
place for you."

This is one of the greatest truths found in the Bible, it's
saying that God is someplace very real. And those
(dwelling places??), that actually translates to
"mansions". So, what Jesus is teaching us is that in
God's house, which is in an actual place called heaven,
there are many mansions.

That gives me great comfort, that I can know for sure
that Jesus has already prepared a mansion in heaven
for ____________ and for all those who love Him.

It puts my heart as ease to know that one day I'm going
to my Father's house He built for me, and I pray you
have that great comfort as well.

My Father's house is where I'm always accepted and
loved. My Father's
