Message Point: America needs the blessings of God and to return to Him.

Focus Passage: 2 Chronicles 7:14

Supplemental Passage: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, (Psalms 33:12a NASB)

Introduction: We cry out for God to bless America, but what do WE have to do with Him blessing us?

I. If MY People Do This

a. Notice, it is the church, not the nation

i. For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17 NASB)

b. Humble Themselves

i. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. (James 4:10 NASB)

c. Pray

i. pray without ceasing; (1 Thessalonians 5:17 NASB)

d. Seek God

i. "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 NASB)

e. Repent

i. "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 3:2 NASB)

II. Then I will Do This

a. Hear from Heaven

b. Forgive their sin

c. Heal their land

Application/Invitation: The church must BE THE CHURCH! We must stand up against evil. We must speak out against the things that offend God. We must share the Good News of Jesus Christ. We must not sit idly by while unbelievers drive our country to Hell.
