Missions Trip to India

My Mom at almost age 70 is off to India with a group on a missions Trip

Following our Bible in 90 days, this morning I ready from Joshua 1:7-11. As I read these words, they seemed to jump off the page.

This trip to India is a 3 day travel across the big ocean to set foot in a land where people need the Lord.

Reading the words…

Be strong and courageous. Keep focused. Speak the Word of God. Meditate on it day and night, then you will succeed. Don’t be afraid, The Lord is with you. Prepare your supplies, for within 3 days you will pass over Jordan (water=ocean) to go and possess the land = Claim it for the LORD JESUS.

At the airport…Gladys was missing her luggage – before she got on the plane. Left in the van.

But she didn’t let that stop her, or even get her down. She was bound and determined to move forward.

We learned that a bag with medicine was stolen, but God provided. One of the others had the same medicine, and enough to share.

I can’t wait to see what the LORD has planned for these Missionaries.

MOVIE - Ratatouille

Theme = Anybody can cook

REVIEW: A rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family’s wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession.

When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau, whose legacy was the theme of ‘anyone can cook’. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely - and certainly unwanted - visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy’s passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

God can Use Anyone

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Psalm 103 - The Lord is...merciful, patient, kind, forgiving, understanding. But only to the believer...those who fear and reverence HIM, love and serve HIM.

God can use anyone for HIS purpose

Abraham - old age - began a nation

Jacob - liar - paid the price but had 12 sons

Joseph - sold into slavery, made ruler

Moses - bad temper; killed a man; walked with God and delivered Israel from Egypt

Samson - strong and mighty; defeated, but in weakness made stront to defeat the enemy

David - adulterer, murderer, repented, forgiven and used by God

Nothing is impossible with God

Mom, a soon to be 70 old in her FIRST TIME as a missionary to India

A missionary, a dream from her youth, but when she was married, it was put on hold. When God Called Dad Home, things began to put this trip into place. God has BIG things in store for her.

And Gladys, walking in faith, without her luggage. We can only wait to hear how God uses that.

God Can USE US. He can use anybody.
