God Makes You. Matthew 4:17-22

1. The Scripture says Follow Christ and He will Make you.

1. Matthew 4:19 Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

2. Abraham Followed and God makes him a Great Nation .Genesis 12: 2"into a great nation and God says and I will make you blessed; I will make your name great, and will make you be a blessing

3. God says the following to David . 2 Samuel 7: 9 Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men of the earth.

• David Followed God and God Makes his name great

• David 's name is King Of Israel

• The birth of our Savior is known as the city of David

4. Jeremiah followed and God Makes him a mouth full of fireJeremiah 5:14Therefore this is what the LORD God Almighty says: I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes.

2. God will Make us fishers of men if we follow the Right Person

. 19"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men

3. Christ can make us fisher of men if we make Right Preparations.

• 21James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets.

• Fishermen constantly mend nets fix holes so fish will not get out

• Isaiah claims we can prepare the Roads by removing the obstacles then we become fishers of men "Build up, build up, and prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."

4. God Makes us fisher of men by Fishing in the Right Places

• Notice where Jesus is when he calls. Jesus calls us from anywhere.18As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.

• 21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father

• God can make us but we must be willing to be maked. Because the seed is still in the barn the vine fig tree can not born fruit: 19Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit.

• Remember the Fish are in the pond not in the pews

5. God can make us Fishers of men if we Preach Right

17From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

In conclusion remember Jesus says, :

-I can make you fishers of men,

-I can make your name great,

-He can make us a great nation,

-He can make us us blessed,

-He can make us filled with fire.

• I can make you into amazing if you will follow the right person,

• He can make us great soul winners if we do right preparation,

• He can make us fruit bearers if we will plant the seed some where and not leave it in the barn,

• God can make us if we preach right repentance,
