Today we are finishing our series on Stewardship. Weíve spent the last 2 weeks looking at we can do to be faithful stewards of what God has given us, specifically our attitudes and our time. Today we are going to see what Godís Word has to say about being good stewards of our money. Letís begin by taking a closer look at our focal text. The first thing we see is:
I. WE ARE EITHER SLAVES TO GOD OR MONEY(Read Matt 6:24)
A. There are two words I want us to look at
1. Master: One who has complete charge over what belongs to Him
2. Serve: The Greek word means slave (Read I Cor 7:22-23)
3. Choice: Unlike traditional slavery God gives us a choice
II. THERE ARE SIGNS OF ONE WHO SERVES MONEY
A. They donít like to hear messages on tithing.
a. I earned it so I can spend it the way I want.
B. They never have enough (Read ECC 5:10)
a. Becaue of their unfaithful ness God canít bless them with more (Read Luke 16:10-12)
C. They give sporadically. (Read I Cor 16:1-2)
III. GOD REWARDS THOSE WHO PUT HIM FIRST (Read Matt 6:33)
A. God will take care of ALL our needs if we will trust him with everything we have.
B. Godís love isnít based on the amount we give.
Give God what is rightfully His and you will never want for your needs.
