God's grace is always working for our good, even in difficult circumstances. As recipients of God's grace, we are called to extend grace to others, forgive as we have been forgiven, and invite others into a grace-filled relationship with God.

Youth Sermon: God's Grace Is for Us

The Story of Joseph

Today, we're diving into the story of Joseph. You know, the guy with the colorful coat who got sold into slavery by his own brothers? Yeah, that guy.

So, Joseph ends up in Egypt, and even though he's in a pretty rough spot, God's still with him. Fast forward a bit, and Joseph's brothers come to Egypt because they're starving. Joseph, who's now a big shot in Egypt, could've gotten back at them, but instead, he says, "You meant to harm me, but God intended it for good."

That's like if you're playing a video game, and your friend keeps beating you, but instead of getting mad, you realize it's actually helping you get better. That's how God's grace works. It's always for our good, even when it doesn't seem like it.

You meant to harm me, but God intended it for good.

God's Grace and Our Response

The Bible says in Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. So, just like Joseph, we can trust that God's got our backs.

When we get this, we start to act differently. We start to forgive people, like Joseph did. We start to invite others into our lives, like we're all part of the same team. And we start to think about how we can help others, like Joseph did when he provided food for his brothers.

So, here's the challenge for this week: think about how you can show God's grace to someone else. Maybe it's forgiving someone who's hurt you, or inviting someone new to hang out with you and your friends. Or maybe it's helping someone who needs it.
