Summary: For many people Goliath spells death, or the end. But for the enlightened child of God, Goliath spells, opportunity, and promotion, and a stepping stone to the next level. Goliath shall come down, and you shall go up, in Jesus name.

This whole chapter will be based on the many powerful revelations of 1Samuel Chapter 17.

So let me start by saying, I’ve been hearing a Word in my spirit, and it is this...Goliath shall come down.

What do you mean when you say Goliath? Well the first thing I think of when I hear the word Goliath, is... Giant.

Ok, Let's put that in the Goliath column. Goliath means Giant.

So for something to become a Giant, it has to have been around for awhile.

Giants aren't born Giants. They are born, then they grow, and grow and grow until they reach Gigantic proportions.

But when we speak of Goliath from a biblical perspective, we aren't just talking about something or someone big.

When the Bible introduces us to Goliath we are told…He is a philistine warrior. He was a warrior from his youth, and he was their champion.

So now we have a biblical description of Goliath. Goliath was not only big…

• Goliath was mean.

• He was bad to the bone.

• He was a killer.

• He was the best warrior the Philistine army had.

• He was their champion.

• He had a bad reputation and he had earned it.

To earn the title of champion, Goliath had to have wounded, maimed, and killed many challengers. There’s no telling how many of his peers were maimed or murdered in Goliaths climb to championship status.

• He was ruthless.

• He was a heartless killing machine.

I have spent quite a bit of time with this description of Goliath, and there is a very good reason for that. First of all, it is not to get your attention on Goliath, or to put fear in your heart concerning Goliath. And it is certainly not to impress you with all Goliath’s credentials.

But the reason we have spent so much time examining Goliath, is so that when he falls, you will know, and your friends will know, your enemies will know, and America will know, that it is not because we are so good, or we are so strong, or we are so smart, or we are so mighty.

But there will only be one explanation, and the world will know it. They will know, and you will know… This is a God thing.

There won’t be room enough for one ounce of pride, or self exultation, or adulation. It will be indisputably, undeniably, and undefiably clear… God is fighting for us, and if God be for us, who can be against us?

This is the word I’m hearing in my spirit for you today, and for our country. Goliath shall come down.

I don’t know what Goliath is to you today. I don’t know what you are dealing with that has reached gigantic proportions.

I don’t know what it is that stands in your face and defies you, and tells you that it’s hopeless, and tells you that it’s always going to be this way.

I don’t know what it is that screams at you everyday of your life, trying to intimidate you, and humiliate you, and embarrass you. I don’t know if it’s physical, or spiritual, or emotional, or relational.

I don’t know if it’s something or someone from your past. All I know for sure is what I'm hearing the Holy Spirit say to me, and it is just these four little words. Goliath shall come down.

I’m not just talking today, I’m prophesying… Goliath shall come down.

I’m going to say it again… Goliath shall come down.

I’m going to say it one more time just to make sure the devil hears me… Goliath shall come down.

Somebody ought to be shouting right about now. Somebody ought to be dancing by now. Somebody ought to be clapping their hands right now.

If you’re one of those who has a Goliath in your life, the Holy Spirit gave me this word for you, Goliath shall come down.

That big, boastful, ruthless, murderous, hateful, destructive thing, that has plagued your life. That thing that has hounded you, and rode your back, and nipped at your heels. And has threatened you for so long… God said to tell you. No God said to prophesy to you… Goliath shall come down!

So little David and Goliath meet in the valley to fight to the death, and it begins with a war of words.

Let me just tell you right now, there will always be a war of words. Revelation 12:11 declares... and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony.

Now watch this... Goliath gets one verse. He sends his challenge. He says, come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
