Summary: We have the greater one living on the inside of us. For greater is he that is in you - than he that is in the world.

The Greater One Lives in Me!

Text: I Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, walketh about, as roaring lion seeking whom he may devour."

Have you ever noticed that the closer you get to God, the more Satan attacks you-

Why? Because you become a threat to him and his kingdom As long as you not doing anything for God, the devil will leave you alone-

But once you’ve made up your mind to serve God - all hell will come against you.

What do we do when the devil attacks us??

Remember-

"Greater is he that in you, than he that is in the world"

I John 4:4

Paul said, “Don’t be ignorant of his devices.”

When are the Attacks of Satan the most severe in our lives?

1. When we receive a blessing from God- It may be a word, or an answer to prayer, or a finianal blessing or a spiritual blessing-

Satan knows just when to attack us-

The Bible says in Mark 4:14-15 "The sower soweth the word.

"And these are they by the way, where the word is sown; bu when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately; and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts."

When we receive the devil will come to steal it-

2. When we stand on God’s Word- When you stand on the Word, the devil will come and challenge you!!!!!!

But Stand on the Word-Jesus was walking on the water

Peter said, "If that is you Lord, bid me to come"

He stood on the word-

Doubt came and he began to sink

Stand!

3. When we become Doers of the Word- James 1:22 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

The devil doesn’t mind you coming to church just as long as you just sit in a pew and don’t become a doer of the Word!

But the moment you decide to believe God and stand on his Word ... the devil will attack you-

James 4:7-8

"Submit yourselves therefore to God,

Resist the devil and he will flee from you-

"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you, Cleanse you hands, ye sinner; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."

The greater one lives in You!
