Heart Transplant

Scripture: Ezekiel 36:25-36:27
Denomination: Baptist
Date Added: February 2012
Audience: General Adults (31 - 49)
Ezekiel 36:25-27-Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

The next time you stop to watch an advertisement on a video screen in the mall, gym, or grocery store, beware. The video screen may be watching you too. Advertisers have begun putting small cameras in video displays that provide information about who is watching and for how long. The cameras provide information to tracking software that reports data on a viewer’s gender, approximate age, and sometimes ethnicity. In some more advanced units, the software can change ads according to the audience makeup.

Though the technology is still new, analysts say the system can accurately determine gender 85 to 90 percent of the time, and allows a company to market products directly to the viewing audience. For example, a video screen might show an ad for motorcycles to a group of men, and then switch to a minivan ad when women and children join them. Companies are already testing the technology in parts of the country.

While advertising companies are excited about the possibility of what they call “smart advertising,” others worry about an invasion of privacy. Harley Geiger, staff counsel for the Center for Democracy and Technology in Washington DC says advertisers should not use the technology on consumers without their knowledge. He says now is the time to build in privacy protection. Harley adds, ”If you don’t build it in at an early stage it becomes very difficult to build it into an already established system.”

Advertisers may think they know us or our habits but God truly does know us and what we need!!

Verse 25-Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

SIN-Betsy McCaughey, chairperson of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths says that “65 percent of medical personnel confess they change their lab coat less than once a week. 15 percent admit they change it less than once a month.” Some of the resilient super bugs can live on these coats for up to 56 days.

The problem is when medical personnel leave the hospital or lab with their scrubs on to run an errand or eat lunch. They carry these germs with them and leave them on chairs and tables ready to be picked up by the unsuspecting.

Ms. McCaughey advises us to “keep our distance” from medical personnel in their scrubs. It would be easy to pick up their germs on our hands and feed them to ourselves with our sandwich.

Sin is like germs it effects everyone in its path!

Verse 26-I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Verse 27-I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

My Spirit Within You-Fake Tan on your body- you give the appearance of a tan or you are temporarily changed, but you are not permanently changed.
