Summary: Jesus is calling, Will you answer?

TITLE - "HELLO JESUS CALLING"

King Jesus is coming soon! His first visit to earth was as a gentle Lamb, His return will be the Great I AM

trun to: Matt.4:18-22 "read"

The first question we need to ask ourself is this.

(1)How old were Peter and Andrew?

(2)How old were James and John?

(3)What were they doing?

These questions are pretty easy to answer, wouldn’t you say. They were all adults and they were working for a living. But something was about to happen that would change their lives forever.

You see, Jesus walking by the Sea of Galilee one day, seen Peter and Andrew, and said follow me, I’ll make you fishers of men. Then, Jesus sees James and John mending their nets and He called them. My question to you today is this: What was their response?

The scripture declares: "IMMEDIATELY" they left their ships. He’s still doing that today!!

"HELLO JESUS CALLING" WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL?

When they started following Jesus He began teaching His disciples. He’s still doing that today!!

He teaches us certian divine principles in the Word.

Listen, Jesus calls and the Holy Spirit teaches, the Spirit and the Word agree. The Holy Spirit teaches the Word and engrafts it into the hearts of men.

1 Cor. 6:17 says: He that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit.

How does a person join himself unto the Lord? He conforms to the Word. 100% agreement with the WRITTEN and 100% agreement with the REVEALED Word of God.

Jesus is calling you and me to share a life with Him from the New Birth till the day we join Him forever.

"HELLO JESUS CALLING" WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL?

Jesus’ enemies called Him a winebibber, gluttonous friend of publicans and sinners. The Pharisees and Scribes continuously tryed to find ways to discredit Jesus. They would take it from one extreme to another, they were seeking only to justify their own deeds and continually reject the truth.

If you will let me say it like this, we continually try to find ways to discredit Jesus, we take it from one extreme to another, we seek only to justify our own deeds and continually reject the truth.

"HELLO JESUS CALLING" WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL?

You see, When Jesus calls, He always calls unto Himself. "BUT WHERE CAN HE BE FOUND?"

The sinner finds Him at the cross,

The saint finds Him at the right hand of God.

"Can I tell you today" There is room at the cross for every sinner and there is room at the throne for every Born Again Believer.

Jesus will meet you right where you are, and take you where you need to be.

When you seek Jesus He will reveal Himself to you as the way, the truth, and the life, and will present you to Father God Himself.

The Psalmist David said: Today, if you will hear His voice.

"HELLO JESUS CALLING" WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL?

Trun to Luke 15:25-32 "read"

(1)What was the glad scene? "Child comes home" (2)What was the reason for joy? "He came back"

What was the sad scene? "The man who missed out"

(a)Older brother comes home from tending fathers business.

(b)He refused to enter into the joy of the matter

(c)He missed out

(d)He chose to stay away from the fathers joy

WHY?

(1)SELFISHNESS

(2)RESENTFULNESS

(3)CODEMNING

(4)SELF-JUSTIFYING

The elder brother was focused only on the heartache and disappointment.

He could not see his fathers heart, and he could not see the most obvious truth, the father longed for a reunion for the whole family.

If you will let me say it like this: Sometimes we are focused only on the heartache and disappointments. We could not see our Father God’s heart, and we could not see the most obvious truth, Father God wants and longs for a reunion for the whole family.

"HELLO JESUS CALLING" WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL?

In luke 15 Jesus teaches 3 parables of lost things,

vs.4 100 sheep, vs.8 ten coins, vs.11 two sons.

The sheep and the coins were sought for diligently until they were found. "THEY HAD TO BE SOUGHT"

But, the son had to chose to come home and there was great joy in each case.

Matt.11:28 declares,Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

vs. 29, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soul.

vs. 30, For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jesus is calling you unto Himself, and when you willfully surrender your life over to Him, He opens up the door for you to freely come unto Him.

If you are lost and have never recieved Jesus into your heart He’s calling you today, if you are here today and have backslid He’s calling you.

"HELLO JESUS CALLING" WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL TODAY?

Thank you for reading this sermon, I pray that it blessed you as much as it did me.
