Summary: This is a basic question that many people ask. They want evidence or proof that God’s love is real. Here are at least 9 evidences of God’s love from the greatest verse about His love.

1) How Do I Know that God loves me?

John 3:16

2) Because His love is …

Personal – Genesis 1-3; Hebrews 12:1-2; Eph. 2:8-10

His love for you is personal both from Him and to you. God so loved and He loved you.

3) Planned

He did not do this by accident, but gave to accomplish a purpose: “God so loved the world THAT He gave…”

Ephesians 2:8-10; Psalm 139; Jeremiah 29:11-13

4) Purposeful

“gave His only begotten Son THAT whosoever believes in Him should not perish”

Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 53; Ephesians 1:4

5) Pronounced

See verse 10 – are you the teacher of Israel and do not know these things?” Jesus is the accomplishment of God’s promise from the garden of Eden.

Old Testament - Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; Micah 5:2 Pronounced the He would come.

The Gospels – (the life of Jesus) Pronounced that He did come.

The New Testament – II Peter 1:16-21; I John 1:1-4 Pronounced what His coming means to each of us.

6) Payment

“gave His only begotten Son”

John 3:16; I John 4:10

7) Prepared

Gave Him how? Gave him as a man, to live this life as we live it, to prepare Him to help you completely

Hebrews 2:16-18; 14-16

He came and lived this life so He would know what we feel and what our struggles are like so He would know exactly how to sympathize with us, love us, pray for us, and give us help. He prepared Himself by living the same life we live.

8) Priestly

“ believes in Him”

Hebrews 7:22-25

9) Perpetual

“everlasting life”

Revelation 21; John 14

10) Pursuing

For God so loved…that He gave” He gave first to meet our needs, even while we were sinners.

Jeremiah 31:3; Romans 5:8; I John 4:10
