1 Corinthians 6:19 (Amplified Bible)

Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

1 Corinthians 6:19 (King James Version)

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

A. My body is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT which is in me.

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,"

1 Corinthians 6:15-16 (Amplified Bible)

Do you not see and know that your bodies are members (bodily parts) of Christ (the Messiah)? Am I therefore to take the parts of Christ and make [them] parts of a prostitute? Never! Never!

Or do you not know and realize that when a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? The two, it is written, shall become one flesh.

1 Corinthians 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God’s temple (His sanctuary), and that God’s Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]?

2 Corinthians 6:16 (Amplified Bible)

What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Ephesians 2:21-22 (Amplified Bible)

In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord].

In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

1 Peter 2:5 (Amplified Bible)

[Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.

My body is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT. The HOLY SPIRIT is GOD's deposit of gift in my life to prove that I am his son.

2 Corinthians 1:22 (Amplified Bible)

[He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] putting His seal upon us and giving us His [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as the security deposit and guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise].

2 Timothy 1:14 (Amplified Bible)

Guard and keep [with the greatest care] the precious and excellently adapted [Truth] which has been entrusted [to you], by the [help of the] Holy Spirit Who makes His home in us.

B. GOD gave the HOLY SPIRIT to me, and GOD owns me.

"which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"

1. We are redeemed from all iniquity and purified for GOD.

Titus 2:14 (Amplified Bible)

Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own, people who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and filled with] beneficial deeds.

2. We are no longer to and for ourselves, but we live for GOD.

2 Corinthians 5:15 (Amplified Bible)

And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.
