I Resign!

way it ALL belongs to the Lord! Please don’t lose your soul over money!

Pride and Dignity – Some Christians can’t worship God with exuberant praise and worship. Some of us can’t raise our hands to the Lord or kneel before the Lord because of what others might think. Does it really matter what anybody else thinks? They aren’t the audience … God is!

Anger and Bitterness - If you are angry with another person, you need to surrender it. If bitterness keeps you up at night, surrender it!

Fear - You can’t share Jesus with your neighbor because you’re afraid of rejection and ridicule. You can’t go to the altar because you’re afraid people might think you’re less than perfect!

Hurt and Pain - Past hurts and emotional scars keep you from getting close to God. You’re afraid of being hurt!

Pastor, I do not have time to get involved!
When someone says that to me, what I really hear is, “I don’t have time for God!” We will find time to do the things that we love to do, but when we are asked to help with something that isn’t attractive to us, we then do not have the time! If you’re too busy to work for the Lord, you’re just plain too busy!

This past week has been very trying for me! Both personally, and professionally! My heart has been broken in ways that I didn’t think were possible! Personally, I wanted to give up! I wanted to say, I can’t handle this God! Are You listening to me? There is no way that I can continue to do what I am doing! THEN, I heard from the Lord! That still small voice said, “Deny Yourself! Pick-up Your cross, and follow ME!”
Right then, I had a choice to make! Either give up, or continue to move full steam ahead for the Lord! I’m MOVING FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Listen Church, WHATEVER stands between you and God – Surrender it!

I want each of us to ask the Lord what is separating me from You?
That’s an honest prayer. That’s a prayer that God will answer.

I don’t want anyone to leave today before you know what it is God wants you to surrender. Everyone of us has something that we need to surrender to the Lord today! Please make your way to this altar, and give your burdens to the Lord! Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will open our eyes to whatever is standing between us and the Lord!
