It's Not That Hard

Summary: It's not that hard to spend time with God, to commit to giving to Him, to use your spiritual gifts--you were made for it!
When we embarked on this, the question...
What if people fail.
One said, that it seems so hard.
It is not too difficult
Deuteronomy 30:11-20 (NASB)
11 "For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it out of reach.
12 "It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will go up to heaven for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe it?'
13 "Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will cross the sea for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe it?'
14 "But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it.
15 "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity;
16 in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.
17 "But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them,
18 I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it.
19 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,
20 by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."
It is not too hard, because we are motivated by Love.....

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
So the question is, “Do I love God?’
with all my heart, mind and soul?
It is not a burden to kiss Pam or spend time with her.
It is not a burden to be with my Grandchildren....
to buy them presents.
to leap to their aid--even in the middle of the night.
that is what love does.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (NASB)
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,

If we really knew the Love of God, we would get it.
We kinda know the Love of God, so we kinda follow.
If we did, we would give with all...serve with all...
So, I am going to be very clear.
Look at the card.
Not that hard to spend time with Him.
Not that hard to commit to give.....
Jesus told the Pharisees to do this (Mt. 23:23)
God told us to test Him in this (Malachi 3:10)
Proverbs called for us act on this (Prov. 3:9-10)
Not that hard to use your spiritual gift.
You were created for this!
Do we trust Him.... Do we love Him?
It is not too hard, because You have the Holy Spirit
2 Timothy 1:7 (NASB)
7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
If the fruit of the Spirit is ….
Love and I do not love, then I am quenching the Spirit or do not have Him
Self control, then either I do not have the Spirit or are quenching
Philippians 4:13 (NASB)
13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
