Text: Romans 8:16-17 (King James Version)

"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. (v. 17) And if children, then heirs; heris of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."

Topic: Joint-Heirs With Christ!

Jesus, the Christ, came to reedem us and to restore us to our position as sons and daughters of Almighty God! He brings us into the "Family of God" so that we can become joint-heirs with Him!

When we accept the sacrifice of Jesus, the Christ, we are infinitely more than sheep or servants; we are sons and daughters! What a beautiful, powerful, and Eternal thing that is - for through Jesus, the Christ, we are reunited as sons and daughters of Almighty God - and, as such, we thereby become recipients of all His Grace and Blessings - an incalculable and inestimable value!

It is important that we understand the full riches and glory of what we have received as joint-heirs with Christ: (1) Eternal Life because of our relationship with Jesus, the Christ; (2) Ability to share with others who have not become joint-heirs with Jesus, the Christ; (3) and, the understanding of the riches and glory that we are yet to receive!

The psalmist, Asaph, in Psalm 50:1-2,10,23 (KJV), tells us: "The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. (v. 2) Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. (v. 10) For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. (v. 23) Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the Salvation of God."

The enjoyment of our Heavenly Fatherís Presence in Heaven will be the supreme and everlasting happiness of each and every son and daughter of Almighty God! Whatever is necessary for our complete blessedness will be enjoyed there! All sin and evil will have been abolished - the body will be renewed in glorious life - the spirit and soul of men and women will live in everlasting communion with God the Father, God the Son; and, God the Holy Ghost (or, Holy Spirit)! Our knowledge of Almighty God will be perfect; and, our understanding will be clearly enlightened!

It is easy to become preoccupied with the future joys of Heaven and overlook the value of present discipleship! We live in a world filled with perplexing problems - yet, being a true follower of Jesus, the Christ, has a discernible value of no small consideration in earthly as well as Eternal terms!

Carefully consider some of our earthly benefits: Physical blessings - distinct financial values - emotional stability - and, peace of mind! Many people are dying prematurely every year because of lifestyles! However, as Christian true believers, while we anticipate the joys of Heaven, we can also live a joyous life here on earth!

The Holy Bible - the written Word of Almighty God - tells us in Matthew 6:20 (KJV), in the Words of Jesus, the Christ, Himself: "But lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal."

In His "Sermon on the Mount," Jesus, the Christ, as recorded by the Disciple/Apostle Luke, the
