Summary: The Christian life is progressive in nature, both measurable and discernable, God does not make us grow we must choose to walk on into greater maturity.

The Door of the House : Jesus

The House is symbolic of the church the body of Christ, and the Church building on a lower level.

Note: These waters issue forth from under the altar

There is no doubt these waters speak of the spirit and the growth of the believer in the life of the spirit.

Note: These waters do not originate at the altar but that is where we gain access to them.

Note: These waters are flowing eastward, the front of the house is facing eastward, This speaks of priority (Eastward facing the rising of the sun and it tells us that from the rising of the sun till the going down of the same the name of the Lord is to be praised)

It’s just an old testament way of saying : Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness

[There will be no real spiritual progress in your life until God is first priority]

The line in the mans hand Speaks of the Word of God

The word of God is that which we grow by, There will be no growth without a sincere commitment to the study and the application of Gods word.

[Faith is the victory that overcomes the world, but faith walks in the steps of revealed truth]

Measure: To stretch or to extend oneself

This is the only way to grow in God (You must be stretched) this is the process of renewing the mind to the word of God.

You are as you think: As a man thinketh in his heart so is he, So in order to change what a man is you have to change the way he thinks, This is the process of Transformation by the renewing of the mind.

The Spirit and the Word agree, The Spirit of God operates in your life according to revealed truth.

The Spirit confirms the Word.

[The Word brings knowledge and understanding and the Spirit brings experience = manifestation].

*One thing is very clear from scripture: The Christian life is progressive in nature and if we are not progressing we are not living the Christian life as revealed by the scriptures.

[Jesus teaching is built on the very fact that the kingdom begins in our life as a seed, but progresses until it becomes a tree that everything else is subject to].

Eph 4:14-15 That ye henceforth be no more children (vs 15) Grow up into him in all things.

1Pet 2:2 Desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may Grow thereby

Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

2Cor 3:18

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

[From This Lesson we learn that our Spiritual Growth in Christ is both Measurable and Discernable.]

#1 I know about the changes in my life before any one else, If my attitudes have changed, if my desires have changed, if my thought processes have changed, If my habits have changed I know it.

#2 If there is true change and true growth other people will know it or recognize it also.

Just as surely as you could tell a man was going deeper into the water of a river you can discern spiritual growth.

1Tim 4:15 Meditate upon these things, give thyself wholly to them that thy profiting may appear to all.

A Thousand: Means to bring into the company of, or add to,

Ankles: The end, Cessasation, Finality, Without else, Nothing besides.

The old has ended, But there is nothing new going on.

A Thousand

Knees: (1) Weak in the knees, from fear – The fear of the Lord is the Beginning of wisdom

(2) To Bless, Praise, Adore.

A Thousand

Loins: Purity Sinlessness of life, Pure from carnality.

Then it says (Afterward) He showed me a river that could not be passed over.

There are some things you will never see without a Holy Seperated sanctified life

Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord

Mt 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

(To operate in the anointing you must be Holy)

Now there is more underwater than above:

Less of me exposed, More of me subject and submitted to the water:

Finally you reach the place where You are so submerged in the water that if anyone wants to really see you, they have to get in where you’re at and look at you through the water.

2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
