Know His Voice

Topic: KNOW HIS VOICE

John 10:4-5King James Version (KJV)

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Beloved, every flock knows the voice of their shepherd. Just like you know the voice of your mum or dad, wife or husband, or friend.

If any of the people mentioned above should speak, without you seeing who or having no prior knowledge of who would be speaking you can still tell who by the voice you hear.

So in a class, the teacher could be doing something else and looking elsewhere but if there is one student making noise in the class, he or she could, without turning to see who, mention the name of the noise maker and ask him or her to keep quiet.

Beloved all I want to tell you this morning is that if you are part of the flock of Jesus, you will know His voice. When He speaks to you, you will know and obey Him.

Any other voice is the voice of a stranger to His flock. Therefore they disregard any foreign voice and focus on the good shepherd and His leading.

Beloved, who is your shepherd?

Who's voice do you know?

Who's voice do you obey?

Know the flock you belong to by knowing the voice you know and respond to.

The voice of Jesus would lead you home but the voice of a stranger would lead you astray into destruction.

Beloved, since *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else, His voice is the only voice we need to know, hear, listen to and obey for He is the good shepherd.

So in every situation you find yourself, no matter how challenging or good or bad, what you should pay attention to are:

Who's voice do you hear directing you?

What is the voice saying about the situation?

Would you obey they voice?

This is what determines whether the situation would overcome you or consume you. Or whether you will come out successfully and victorious.

If the voice you are hearing is Jesus, you will come out victorious but If it's that of a stranger, it will lead you astray and destroy you.

I don't know where you are today or what you are in but seek the voice of the good shepherd and obey it. This will give you success and victory. Hallelujah!!!

Prayer: Father please let me be so acquainted with Jesus' voice, so much so that i will know His voice, hear Him and obey His voice religiously. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
