ETS: Jesus healed ten lepers, but only one
returned to thank Him.

does for us.

I. Jesus lives with us (17:11-12)
A. The lepers had to stand far off(17:12; see Leviticus 13:43-46).
B. The lepers had several things in common with us.
1. Just like us, they were all afflicted with a disease (Romans 3:23).
2. Just like us, they were all dying(Romans 6:23).
3. Just like us, they had no hope apart from Jesus (Eph. 2:11-13).
II. Jesus listens to us (17:13).
A. The lepers called the right man.
B. The lepers cried the right message.
C. The lepers caught the right mercy.
III. Jesus looks at us (17:14).
A. The lepers were seen by Jesus.
B. The lepers were commanded by Jesus.
C. The lepers were obedient to Jesus.
D. The lepers were cleansed by Jesus.
IV. Jesus loves each of us (17:15-19).
A. The leper returned, falling down, thanking God (17:15-16).
B. The lepers ran, forgetting about thanking God (17:17-18).
C. The leper rose, feeling great about thanking God (17:19).
