Open Hearts Before God Series

Summary: God has givin us an awesome opportunity to become His child. We are now children of light. What does this mean? How do we play this out in our lives? Paul gives us some examples in his letter to the Ephesian church.
Living as children of Light: Open hearts
To live as children of light means
I. We live as though God _were are Father_
a. The gentiles were fatherless when it came to God.
b. As a believer in Christ we now become his Children
c. We should act that way since we aren’t Gentiles anymore
II. We live with an _Open Heart_ before God
a. As His children we are looking for Gods Guidence
b. We allow His to search our hearts
c. He gives us this opportunity, we should take it
III. We are sensitive to _His Spirit_
a. We don’t harden our hearts to His will
b. We might not like what we hear but we accept it
c. This is opposed to people who have not become his children
IV. We have traded in our _Old Life_
A. We have acknowledged a problem with our way of living to come to Christ
B. We have acknowledged a problem with our way of thinking to come to Christ
C. We are trading in a dead way a living for a way that leads to life
