All through the bible we are given symbols of the Holy Spirit: through these symbols we learn who the Holy Spirit is and how he manifests himself and inter-acts with his people.
(Fire) (Oil) (Water) (Dove) (Wind)
Fire: Purifying, Illuminating, searching
Oil: Healing, comforting, consecrating
Water: Cleansing, life giving
Dove: Gentle, peaceful, comforting, guiding, warning
And finally the Wind
I don’t really have time to talk about the wind but if I did I would bring to your attention:
It was the wind that opened the red sea, (it was the wind that closed it again)
Ex 14:21 & Ex 15:10
The wind opened the way for their escape, and the wind moved the waters to return and close upon and destroy their enemies.
It was the wind that dried up the flood waters from the earth after it had rained for 40 days and 40 nights
Ge 8:1
It was the wind that brought the plague of locusts upon the Egyptians, and it was the wind that took them away.
Ex 10:13 & Ex 10:19
It was a wind from the Lord that brought quail to the complaining Israelites
Nu 11:31
It was the wind that brought the rain that ended a 31/2-year drought in Israel.
1Ki 18:45
The wind speaks of Gods Power and it speaks of change: When the wind of God blows it brings change.
I’m talking to somebody here tonight who needs a change, you need the power of God, the wind of God to blow through your life right now and bring a change.
Touch your neighbor and tell them (it’s Changing) it’s changing, I can’t see it I can’t touch it, but it’s changing, I don’t know how God’s going to do it but it’s changing. I got a witness in my spirit that change is on the way, I feel the wind shifting.
It was not the fire in the valley that day, and it was not the oil, and it was not the water, and it was not the dove that brought restoration and resurrection to a valley of dry bones
(But is was the Wind of God, the Wind of Heaven, the Power of God, the Breath of God)
Sometimes we need the fire, and sometimes we need the oil, and sometimes we need the water, and sometimes we need the dove.
(But when you need a change, when you need a resurrection, when you need the Power of God to come into your life and quicken and raise up something in your life that has died or is dying (You need the wind of God to blow)
That same power, that same anointing, that same wind that blew through that valley of dry bones is blowing in this house right now.
Lift your hands right now and tell God: Let the wind blow
When the wind blows everything changes:
When Elijah was hiding out in a cave fearful that Jezebel would take his life, the bible says that the Lord passed by is cave, and when he did there was a Wind, and earthquake and a fire (1 Kings 19:11)
The Lord caused it all: I want to focus for a minute on the wind that blew that day. It was not a soft gentle breeze of a warm summers night.
This wind ripped the mountains apart and broke the boulders in pieces = burst, crush, destroy, (pulverize)
In other words, after this wind passed by the mountains were gone (destroyed, pulverized) there was no evidence left that they had ever existed.
I prophesy to you right now: The wind of God is getting ready to blow through your life tonight and it’s going to not only destroy your problem, but when God gets through moving there will be no evidence that a problem ever existed.
When Elijah was hiding out in a cave, fearful that Jezebel would take his life.
1Ki 19:1 The bible says: The Lord passed by his cave, and when he did there was a wind, and an earthquake, and a fire:
(The Lord caused it all)
I want to focus your attention tonight on this wind
It was not a soft gentle wind of a warm summers night.
This wind ripped the mountains apart and broke the boulders in pieces (burst, crush, destroy, another word would be (pulverize).
In other words, after this wind passed by the mountains were gone. (they were pulverized, they were demolished.)
We all thank God for the soft gentle breezes of his love for us.
But sometimes we need more than just a gentle breeze, sometimes we need a mountain pulverizing rock smashing wind to blow through our lives.
There’s some people listening to me right now and you’ve got some mountain sized problems that look impossible and immovable.
Some of you are facing mountains in your finances, others of you are up against the mountain of health issues that refuse to change.
Some of you are dealing with the mountain of rebellious children, and grand children.
Somebody else is facing the mountain of drugs and alcohol.
There are all kinds of mountains, and your mountains may be different but the one thing they have in common is that they look impossible, and they refuse to move.
And the circumstances refuse to change.
But the wind of God is getting ready to blow on that mountain, and when the wind is through blowing, there won’t even be any dust left, there won’t even be any evidence that a mountain ever existed.
The bible says that this wind that blew by Elijah was a Great and a Strong wind.
I prophesy to you tonight that a Great and a Strong wind is getting ready to blow through your life, and this wind is going to blow in your favor and it’s going to change things, and I don’t care how big, how mean, how ugly, or how long that mountain has been standing in your way, stealing your health, your money, your peace and your joy, when the wind of God blows it’s going to move.
Shout it out right now: It’s moving, It’s breaking.
When you talk about the wind, you’re talking about a force that cannot be seen, it cannot be touched, and it cannot be controlled.
You don’t know when it’s coming, which direction it’s going or how hard or how long it’s going to blow.
But when the wind blows you can feel it’s affects, you can see where it’s been.
The highest level of wisdom mankind has attained to is that we have learned how to Co-operate with the wind, we have learned how to work together, which means we have learned how to position ourselves so that when the wind blows it benefits us.
That means we have to be ready all the time and it means we have to be flexible, we have to know when the wind changes directions and change with the wind.
When the wind changes directions we have to shift.
There are churches today and entire organizations that missed their shift, and now they’re either completely gone, or just a shell of what God ordained for them to be, and it’s all because they fought the wind, they fought the change the wind brought, and they refused to shift when the wind changed.
When the natural wind blows, it blows helter skelter here and there, many times causing great damage and destruction and even loss of lives.
But the wind of God blows with healing, and deliverance, with mercy and grace and forgiveness, it blows with restoration and miracles, it blows to undo all the works of the devil.
I feel a stirring in the atmosphere right now, I feel a wind beginning to blow in this house.
I feel in my spirit that there are some people in this house who have made up their minds: I’m not going to miss it.
Without the wind we’re powerless
Without the wind we’re dead in the water
Without the wind we’re just an empty shell, we may look good, we may have a lot of activity, we may make a lot of noise, But we’re dead.
But when the wind blows: Everything changes.
The bible says: when the wind of God passed by, it rent the mountains in pieces.
That word (rent) comes from the Hebrew word
When the wind of God blew by Elijah that day it Craunched the mountains.
I feel a craunching anointing in this house right now.
I believe somebody’s court case is about to get craunched, somebody’s fear is getting craunced today, somebody’s sickness is getting craunched, somebody’s debt is getting craunched.
God is in a craunching mood tonight
That means: Any mountain that gets in his way of fulfilling his plan for your life is going to be craunched, crunched, demolished, (pulverized).
I love Eze 37:1-10
Because we are first presented with all the broken-ness, the hopelessness, and dispair, and we see how for the devil will go to destroy humanity.
In that valley we see every phase of broken humanity. (broken marriages, broken dreams, broken health, sickness and disease of every kind) cancer is there, sugar diabetes is there, asthma is there, kidney trouble, liver problems, heart trouble, fear and depression, anxiety, worry, stress It’s all there in that valley.
And they were very dry: The moisture, the joy, the essence of life was gone.
This scene is so dark and hopeless that when God asks his mighty prophet of faith “can these bones live again” Ezekial cannot find enough faith to say yes, but only (Lord God thou knowest)
This was not great faith on the prophets part, but it was great obedience. That should encourage somebody today (It’s not great perfected mountains of faith that God needs from you, it’s just enough faith to obey God)
Now we have taken it all in and we have seen the destruction and misery that was left after the devil passed by.
Now God says to his prophet: Prophesy upon these bones ( and as he prophesies God strategically and systematically destroys every effect and every evidence of the devils work.
Acts 3:8 For this purpose was the son of God made manifest, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
In Ezekial 37:1 We start out with a valley full of dry bones, but thank God it doesn’t end there.
It became a mountain top of victory, of resurrection, of healing and restoration, of hope and expectation.
You may be looking at your own valley of dry bones right now, and it may look impossible.
But I prophesy to you right now that God is going to turn your valley of death into a mountain of life,
He will turn your valley of sickness into a mountain top of health.
Your valley of debt into a mountain top of blessing.
Your valley of loss into a mountain top of fullness and overflow, filling every empty area of your life, every crack every crevice until your life is overflowing with joy unspeakable and full of glory.
Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.
(I feel some morning breaking in here right now, I feel a turn around in the atmosphere, I feel a breakthrough anointing moving in this house).
By verse 10 of Ezekial 37 we see no evidence left of what existed in verses 1&2
There was not one single dry bone left in that valley, every bone had found it’s place and every bone was restored to it’s strength and power.
I prophesy to you today that somebody is going from vs 1&2 to vs 10 in one jump, it doesn’t take God long to turn it around.
It may have been going the wrong way, going down hill, for a long time, getting worse all the time, and it may feel and look more impossible than ever, but the wind of God is blowing and God is turning it around.
When the strong and mighty pulverizing mountain craunching wind of God blew through that valley, there was a divine reversal and everything that the devil had done, all the desolation and destruction was turned around.
That same wind of God is blowing in this house right now.
Lift your hands and begin to praise him, and as you praise him you’re going to activate the wind, the anointing, the power of God.
Praise him and ask him to blow on you, ask him to send that mountain craunching devil blasting, dead raising wind of his spirit.
As you praise him, the wind is blowing, as you praise him the devils works are being destroyed, (sickness is being destroyed, debt and lack are being destroyed, bondage’s are being broken, yokes are being destroyed, habits and addictions are being destroyed)
When this wind is through blowing on you and through your life, there will be no evidence that the devil ever touched your life.
There is no power from hell that can stand against the wind of God: When the wind blows everything changes.
