Summary: We often teach that the church was born on the Feast of Pentecost, but every birth requires a conception moment.

A The dates I chose for Tabernacle because of the Feast of Pentecost.

1 We often teach that the church was born on the Feast of Pentecost, but every birth requires a conception moment.

a In the creation account, God created Adam out of the dust of the earth, and when God breathed into Adams nostrils he became a living, breathing, being.

b Adam being the first human was closer to God than any person in history outside of Christ.

aa They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Gen 3:8 (NASB)

Adam saw God daily, walked with Him daily in the cool of the day.

bb Cool (Ruoach) wind, breath, spirit (riding on the wind)

cc Perhaps, similar to the wind that blew into the upper room.

B Adams creation/birth is unique in three ways.

(Image, blood, communication)

1 Adam was created as a full-grown adult when God breathed into his nostrils. Created in the image of God.

26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Gen 1:26 (NASB)

a The breath caused Adam to be a living soul.

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Gen 2:7 (KJV)

aa We inherit our likeness to God from Adam.

bb All future human beings have an eternal soul & spirit too.

b Jesus called the “2nd Adam” restored everything lost in the fall

aa Christ is the living, walking, image of God.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Col 1:15 (NASB)

9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? John 14:9 (NASB)

bb Not just in physical appearance, miracles, powers, compassion, healing.

2 Adam’s reception of God’s breath also imparted within him a powerful life force liquid in his body called blood.

a If he only received a spirit without blood, he’d been an angel!

aa If you have no blood you die.

11 'For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.' Lev 17:11 (NASB)

bb Once the blood stops flowing, you return to the dust from which we came.

19 By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return."Gen 3:19 (NASB)

b Christ’s blood would not be tainted with sin found in the natural seed of man.

aa 12 and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Heb 9:12 (NASB)

14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb 9:14 (NASB)

19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, Heb 10:19 (NASB)

bb The 2nd Adam’s blood was & forever more free from sin.

3 Adam could at one time (before the fall) communicate in some form of language between him & God.

a They talked!

aa Adam named the animals (Alphabet, verbal form of communication between Adam & God)

bb Once the fall occurred the one-on-one communication between God & mankind enjoyed in the garden was silenced.

b Jesus restored the bridge of communication between God & man that was lost in the garden.

C 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22 (NASB)

Jesus appears to 10 Disciples.

(Judas had hung himself, Thomas lack of belief kept him in hiding.) And breathes on the 10 disciples to receive the Holy Spirit.

1 When Jesus breathed on them His own air from Hid own lungs, they were experiencing what Adam did at creation.

2 There are 3 interesting things about this event.

a They received the Holy Spirit but didn’t manifest tongues until days later with the arrival of Pentecost.

1 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them.4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues , as the Spirit was giving them utterance . Acts 2:1-4 (NASB)

b Only 10 (Not 11, 12) 10!

c Why didn’t He wait for Thomas?

D Jesus was walking & ministering for how many days after the resurrection? 40 Days!

To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God. Acts 1:3 (NASB)

1 Normally “40" in scripture is a number representing testing. (Moses/Jesus)

a 40 is the number of weeks a woman is pregnant before she gives birth.

aa The church wasn’t a new temple, sanctuary or building.

bb 27 Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it. 1 Cor 12:27 (NASB) Body of Christ!

cc At the end of 40 days Christ’s natural resurrected body would go back to heaven, yet He’s leave His spiritual/mystical body on earth: Church!

2 Why 10? Divine order is represented with 10.

a 10 Commandments, 10 tests in the life of Abraham, 10 generations between Adam & Noah.

b 12 is recognized with divine government!

aa 12 Patriarchs

bb 12 Tribes of Israel

Now there were twelve sons of Jacob—23 the sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, then Simeon and Levi and Judah and Issachar and Zebulun;24 the sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin;25 and the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's maid: Dan and Naphtali;26 and the sons of Zilpah, Leah's maid: Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan-aram. Gen 35:22-26 (NASB)

cc 12 Apostles

1 Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;3 Philip and Bartholomew ; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;4 Simon the Zealot , and Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed Him. Matt 10:1-4 (NASB)

dd 12 Gates to the New Jerusalem

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. Rev 21:21 (NASB)

ee 12 Stones in the city walls.

14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Rev 21:14 (NASB)

c Eleven is our of order!

aa 11 of Jacob’s Son sold Joseph into slavery.

bb Jehoiakim reigned 11 years before Nebuchadnezzer destroyed the city.

cc 11th year when Ezekiel prophesied against Tyre.

d 10 was the number of disciples Jesus breathed on instructing them to receive the Holy Spirit. (Divine Order)

aa When the Spirit arrived in Acts, Thomas was back & Judas had been replaced.

bb Divine order has been sealed with Divine Government.

cc God works through order, not confusion!

e The church was born on Pentecost, conceived 40 days before Jesus ascended back to heaven!

E Adam didn’t start having babies until the bride arrived, Eve.

1 41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:41,47 (NASB)

a As soon as the bride arrived, God began to add to the family!

b Be fruitful and multiply!

2 Church, we are birthed by the breath of God!

a Image is restored, blood has been cleansed by calvary, & communication to God has been restored!

b Lets live the life we were birthed to live & be fruitful & multiply.
