VIII. MAIN BODY:

Proverbs 16:29 (Amplified Bible)

The exceedingly grasping, covetous, and violent man entices his neighbor, leading him in a way that is not good.

Proverbs 16:29 (King James Version)

A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.

A. A violent man deceives his neighbor

"A violent man enticeth his neighbour,"

Violent or "chamas" in Hebrew meaning: violence, oppressor, cruel, unrighteous, wrong.

Enticeth, entices or "pathah" in Hebrew meaning: to open, allure, deceive, enlarge, entice, flatter, persuade, silly.

Proverbs 1:10-14 (Amplified Bible)

My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.

If they say, Come with us; let us lie in wait [to shed] blood, let us ambush the innocent without cause [and show that his piety is in vain];

Let us swallow them up alive as does Sheol (the place of the dead), and whole, as those who go down into the pit [of the dead];

We shall find and take all kinds of precious goods [when our victims are put out of the way], we shall fill our houses with plunder;

Throw in your lot with us [they insist] and be a sworn brother and comrade; let us all have one purse in common—

Proverbs 2:12-15 (Amplified Bible)

To deliver you from the way of evil and the evil men, from men who speak perverse things and are liars,

Men who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

Who rejoice to do evil and delight in the perverseness of evil,

Who are crooked in their ways, wayward and devious in their paths.

Proverbs 3:31 (Amplified Bible)

Do not resentfully envy and be jealous of an unscrupulous, grasping man, and choose none of his ways.

Sinners entices and deceives other people, that's why the bible calls them bad weeds. But unfortunately bad people on this earth will not yet be removed until judgement.

Matthew 13:24-30 (Amplified Bible)

Another parable He set forth before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

But while he was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed also darnel (weeds resembling wheat) among the wheat, and went on his way.

So when the plants sprouted and formed grain, the darnel (weeds) appeared also.

And the servants of the owner came to him and said, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Then how does it have darnel shoots in it?

He replied to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Then do you want us to go and weed them out?

But he said, No, lest in gathering the wild wheat (weeds resembling wheat), you root up the [true] wheat along with it.

Let them grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will say to the reapers, Gather the darnel first and bind it in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my granary.

They wanted to deceive other people to come with them to their own destruction. They won't listen or see not until the HOLY SPIRIT leads them with humility to return to GOD.

Proverbs 14:12 (Amplified Bible)

There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.

Proverbs 16:25 (Amplified Bible)

There is a way that seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.

Why bad people are called bad? Because GOD made a Way for us but bad people insist it on doing their own way. JESUS is the Only Way to salvation but bad people put good works, religion, philosophy and other things in the way, but not coming to realize GOD's Way is the Only Way.

John 14:6 (Amplified Bible)

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Isaiah 6:10 (Amplified Bible)

Make the heart of this people fat; and make their ears heavy and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn again and be healed.

Choose none of man's ways, or the bad man, but choose only GOD's Way - JESUS CHRIST.

B. A violent man leads his neighbor in a bad way

"and leadeth him into the way that is not good"

2 Peter 3:17 (Amplified Bible)

Let me warn you therefore, beloved, that knowing these things beforehand, you should be on your guard, lest you be carried away by the error of lawless and wicked [persons and] fall from your own [present] firm condition [your own steadfastness of mind].

Nehemiah 6:13 (Amplified Bible)

He was hired that I should be made afraid and do as he said and sin, that they might have matter for an evil report with which to taunt and reproach me.

1 Samuel 23:19-21 (Amplified Bible)

Then the Ziphites came to Saul at Gibeah, saying, Does not David hide himself with us in strongholds in the wood [at Horesh], on the hill of Hachilah, which is south of Jeshimon?

Now come down, O king, according to all your heart’s desire to come down, and our part shall be to deliver him into the king’s hands.

And Saul said, The Lord bless you, for you have compassion on me.

Leadeth, leads, or "halak" in Hebrew meaning: be conversant, leads, wander.

Greatness serves, but leaders leads. We are born into greatness not leadership. The leadership of this world is different from ours that is motivated by humility.

Matthew 20:25-27 (Amplified Bible)

And Jesus called them to Him and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men hold them in subjection [tyrannizing over them].

Not so shall it be among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant,

And whoever desires to be first among you must be your slave—

What a surprise isn't it? I don't know before that foolish man or the wicked can lead? But they lead instead, they thought that leadership is the way to greatness but it's not the way to greatness is by becoming a slave and a servant.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for I have a servant's heart and I'm Your slave for life.

Don't trust violent people, they will mislead you to do the wrong thing. Only trust the LORD JESUS.

Jeremiah 17:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.

For he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.
