Summary: People today run here and there not seeking God but they just want some prophesy and sadly our leaders are gratifying their carnal desires. Today people need spiritual eyes!

Ah, I can see!!

Genesis 22:4”On the third day Abraham raised his eyes and saw the place from a distance.”

ABRAHAM:

After the initial response of “ Here I am”, God made sure that Abraham understood his calling, the Lord said: Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac…..Abraham was asked to sacrifice his only beloved son! Ah, unfathomable request from a loving God; nevertheless, Abraham had faith in the unfailing love of God. Glory to Jesus! Some of us ask God too many questions: why the delay, why this person has to die, why did this happen to me and my family but here God asked Abraham something too ‘precious’ yet, Abraham was ready. That sets apart Abraham from the others and that’s why God called him His Friend, you don’t get such titles without paying a price. Are you listening? Intimacy with God comes with a price….

I am so excited to share the message today, the above scripture says: ‘Abraham raised his eyes and saw the place from a distance.’ Did you get that? Oh, I am sure only very few will understand my excitement, from very far Abraham SAW that place, which place? The place that God showed him to make the sacrifice, initially only the name of the place Moriah was given to Abraham not the ‘exact’ name of the mountain, but now Abraham saw from a distance and was able to SEE that place, I stopped there and wondered what would have exactly happened there? May be Abraham SAW a light from heaven that revealed that place, may the glory of the Lord……WHAT HE SAW EVEN ISAAC OR THE SERVANTS DID NOT SEE. Period. That vision was only for Abraham, because he was chosen. Amen. Now sit and digest this message until you get it.

When I shared the miraculous healing that I received through the birth of my son Joshua with an elderly person and glorified God, he smugly replied that all women go through problems during delivery and for few it may be extreme and my miracle was no big deal; he dismissed my healing as just a coincidence. Sadly he was not able to see God in my miracle! ( Click LINK to read my full testimony)

I am speaking to someone out there today! I have shared the Gospel interwoven with my numerous testimonies with you each day; yet for few the doubts, fear and worries still linger on! Some feel ‘such’ miracles happen only for the selected few, that is wrong notion, you have failed to grasp the power of God in the miracle, instead of reading my testimonies as an interesting incident or an excellent piece of writing, please do SEE the power of God. Let us ask, OPEN MY EYES O LORD!

We have no time for God because we are busy with projects, seminars, traveling, submitting reports, getting ready for the next assignment, too many kids, too much of cooking – that includes exotic variety of food, cluttered with electronic gadgets, your busy playing with your ‘achievements and accolades’, we SEE better once we are stripped of these. I know you don’t like me saying this! Tamil Actor and director Kamal Hassan of the controversial movie Vishvaroopam, that had been banned for a while, said, ‘I invested my life time savings for this 100 crore project trusting my talents, technical skills and business acumen and now I stand to lose everything, but still I am not lost because nobody can touch my talents.’ A bloated heart can never see God!

Naomi was able to see God and return to Him, only after she had lost her husband and her two sons due to their fatal mistake of getting their sons married to idol worshippers. She said, “I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty.” ( Ruth 1:21) Friend, when we are afflicted, let us not only just complain against God, why not search our hearts for wrongdoings? Read : Ecclesiastes 7:14”In the day of prosperity be joyful, But in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, So that man can find out nothing that will come after him.”

PROPHET AHIJAH WAS BLIND YET SAW PERFECTLY:

1 Kings 14: Ahijah Prophesies against the King:

1 At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam became sick.

2 Jeroboam said to his wife, "Arise now, and disguise yourself so that they will not know that you are the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh; behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who spoke concerning me that I would be king over this people.

3 "Take ten loaves with you, some cakes and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy."

4 Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were dim because of his age.

5 Now the LORD had said to Ahijah, "Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to inquire of you concerning her son, for he is sick. You shall say thus and thus to her, for it will be when she arrives that she will pretend to be another woman."

6 When Ahijah heard the sound of her feet coming in the doorway, he said, "Come in, wife of Jeroboam, why do you pretend to be another woman? For I am sent to you with a harsh message.

With two grown up children and in my late fifties, I was thrilled that I am able to see and preach without spectacles; however, I was admonished by the Holy Spirit that my excitement should be in what I do with those good eyes! In 2015, at the age of 97, Rev Billy Graham published Where I Am: Heaven, Eternity and out Life Beyond. It is described as the “Final Chapter From Billy Graham. Rev Billy Graham lost his eyesight and hearing during his nineties but still he was a fruitful and his book’ Nearing Home’ touched me a lot, an absolute treasure to the Body of Christ.

In the above scripture, we read about an awesome prophet Ahijah who initially prophesied to Jeroboam about the Kingdom being handed over to him after the death of Solomon,

1 King 11:30And Ahijah took hold of the new cloak he was wearing, tore it into twelve pieces, 31and said to Jeroboam, “Take ten pieces for yourself, for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and I will give you ten tribes.

Jeroboam did become the king (read 1 King 12:20)

Jeroboam lived a wicked life and led the people in the path of idol worship and destruction, God’s wrath came upon him, his son Abijah became sick. Now watch this, at this time of pain and affliction, he remembered the prophet who prophesied accurately to him and he gives the exact address of the prophet: , read: 1 King 14: 2”Jeroboam said to his wife, "Arise now, and disguise yourself so that they will not know that you are the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh; behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who spoke concerning me that I would be king over this people.” This guy though he remembered the man of God in his suffering; yet, he was blind. He told his wife to disguise and go to him. How brainless and foolish! Wicked people think they can hoodwink God and cheat Him behind His back, they fail to understand He has eyes all around. 1 King 14:4 Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were dim because of his age.”

Sadly his wife was also blind because she exactly followed his words. Both of them did not sit to examine their life as to why their son died, instead they were looking for instant miracles, they were seeking the prophet not to know the heart of God but to know “He will tell you what will happen to the boy." Did you see that? People today run here and there not seeking God but they just want some prophesy and sadly our leaders are gratifying their carnal desires. We need to:

• Point their blindness

• Their sins which led them to present crisis

Look what the blind prophet did, the moment Jeroboam’s wife walked into his home, the Lord spoke to him:

5 "Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to inquire of you concerning her son, for he is sick.

Wow, prophet Ahijah’s age, blindness did not deter him one bit, he daring delivered the message from the Lord to Jeroboam’s wife. He also said that the boy will die. We need more of AHIJAHs’ today!
