Summary: God's grace has wings and fly wherever the wind of divine mercy blows. When the wind of mercy blows into the life of a man, favour is deposited at no cost.

TEXT: 2 Samuel 2:4, 9:1

"(Saul’s son Jonathan had a son named Mephibosheth, who was crippled as a child. He was five years old when the report came from Jezreel that Saul and Jonathan had been killed in battle. When the child’s nurse heard the news, she picked him up and fled. But as she hurried away, she dropped him, and he became crippled.)...

One day David asked, 'Is anyone in Saul’s family still alive—anyone to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake?'”

THE WIND OF GOD'S MERCY BLOWS ON WHOEVER IT CHOOSES

God's grace has wings and fly wherever the wind of divine mercy blows. When the wind of mercy blows into the life of a man, favour is deposited at no cost. The result is unbridled laughter and tears of joy. The wind of divine mercy will blow your way in Jesus name. You will laugh and weep tears of joy in Jesus name.

The marvellous thing about the wind of God's mercy is that it can blow in the direction of anyone. It is the perogative of God, man cannot circumvent or redirect it. "For God said to Moses, 'I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.' So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it" (Rom 9:15-16). Therefore, you are qualified to obtain God's mercy like anyone else. The Lord will choose you and cause the wind of divine mercy to blow on you in Jesus name.

THE WIND OF GOD'S MERCY BLOWS TO FULFIL PURPOSE

In the book of 2 Samuel chapter 4, a verse was inserted that was not related to what the chapter was narrating. The story of Mephibosheth's, unfortunate incident that made him a cripple came out of the blues. It was heartbreaking but God preserved him for a purpose. He was not killed with the other children and grand children of Saul. God chose to show him mercy. In the name above all other names - Jesus, the enemy will not kill you before the wind of God's mercy blows your way in Jesus name. The mercy of God will preserve your life to fulfil your purpose on earth in Jesus name.

The story of Mephibosheth did not end with that sad insertion. In 2 Samuel 9:1, God prompted King David to ask: "...Is anyone in Saul’s family still alive—anyone to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” God remembered Mephibosheth. The good his father, Jonathan did spoke on his behalf. The wind of God's mercy is blowing even now, it will locate you in Jesus name. The righteousness of your parents will not be forgotten in Jesus name.

THE WIND OF GOD'S MERCY IS BLOWING YOUR WAY TODAY

I don't know how many nights Mephibosheth had wept bitter tears. He suffered for many years. Many must have ridiculed and laughed at him. He must have questioned why God spared his life and left him crippled. 2 Sam 9:1a (NLT) says: "One day David asked..." God remembered him on that day. God's book of remembrance was opened and the wind of God's mercy blew his way. The Lord will remember you today. The God that remembered Hannah after years of barrenness and ridicule will remember you. Year after year, it seems God has forgotten you, don't be discouraged; have faith in God. One day, God will remember you. I decree in the name above all names- Jesus, that day is today in Jesus name. "...Indeed, the 'right time' is now. Today is the day of salvation.

(2 Cor 6:2b).

Today, is the day the wind of God's mercy will blow your way. Purge your heart and prepare to receive favour that is beyond you wildest dreams. God will do it for you. He will wipe away your bitters tears. You will laugh and weep tears of unbridled joy in Jesus name.

PRAYER:

Father, cause the wind of your mercy to blow upon me today in the mighty name of Jesus.

CONFESSION:

I am chosen of God, the goodness and mercy of God will follow me all the days of my life.

God bless you. Shalom.
