CROWNED WITH MANY CROWNS

"Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns." Revelation 19:11-12.

I. THE ETERNAL CROWN OF GLORY!

“And now, glorify Thou Me together with Thyself, Father, with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was.” John 17:5.

“And He is the image of the invisible God…for by Him all things were created…all things have been created by Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:15-16 (abbreviated).

II. THE CROWN OF SINLESS HUMANITY!

“But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.” Philippians 2:7.

“…but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14.

III. THE CROWN OF REDEMPTIVE THORNS!

“And they clothed Him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it on His head.” Mark 15:17.

“And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no remission (forgiveness of sin).” Hebrews 9:22.

IV. THE MANY CROWNS OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP!

“The twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

‘Worthy art Thou, our Lord and our God, to receive glory

and honor and power; for Thou didst create all things,

and because of Thy will they existed, and were

created.” Revelation 4:10-11.

V. THE MANY CROWNS OF ULTIMATE VICTORY!

“…and on His head were many crowns…” The scene here is the Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19:11-16) when the enemies of God shall be destroyed in sudden and swift judgment.
