Summary: Jesus is coming soon. Are you ready?

BEHIND THE CLOUDS

Mathew 25:1-13

1. Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the Bridegroom.

2. And five were wise and five were foolish.

3. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5. While the Bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6. And at midnight there was a cry made, behold the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

8. And the foolish said unto the wise, give us your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9. But the wise answered saying, not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Since I was a child I’ve heard Jesus is coming back. When I say coming back, I’m talking about the rapture of the church,

according to 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-55.

1 Thessalonians 4: 13- 18

13. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the

Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16. For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17. Then we which are alive shall and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:50-55

50. Now this I say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51. Behold I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52. In a moment in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54. So when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55. O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory.

Is it possible that this could take place in my lifetime?

Is the Rapture something I should fear?

If we know Jesus as our personal Savior, we don’t have to fear, but we should be on the alert.

We should be watching and praying, and we need to make sure our lamps are full of oil.

We need to keep our fire burning.

Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven will be compared to 10 virgins.

They took their lamps and went out to meet the Bridegroom.

5 were foolish and 5 were prudent. (WISE)

When the 5 foolish went, they took their lamps, but they took no oil with them.

The wise took oil in a flask, along with their lamps.

Look at verse 5 (NAS)

Mathew 25:5

Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep.

The Bridegroom was delaying. (Maybe a time of grace)

Look at verse 6. (NAS)

Mathew 25:6

But at midnight there was a shout, behold the Bridegroom! Come out to meet him.

I believe we’re at that midnight hour, and a lot of Christians are starting to run low on oil in their lamp, some have run out.

If you run out of oil in your lamp, you’re in darkness.

You can run out of oil by doing your own thing, doing things the way you want instead of the way God wants them.

You run out of oil by stepping back into who you used to be, you’re a new creature, old things have passed away.

Once Jesus (the Bridegroom) comes back, there is no way I can give you my oil.

My oil won’t do the trick for you; The Bible says to work out your own Salvation with fear and trembling.

You need your own oil, your own walk.

The 5 foolish virgins went out to buy oil, while they were gone, the Bridegroom came.

Remember what we just read in Mathew 25:10-13.

In verse10, the door is shut.

Verse 12 says, I know ye not.

Jesus is the Bridegroom, the Church is the bride.

Jesus used the phrase virgins because they are pure, they have never been defiled. (TOUCHED)

Jesus is coming back for a church that has been washed in the Blood of the Lamb, a Church that is without spot or wrinkle.

A Church where old things have passed away and all things have become new.

A people who are not letting the world get a hold of them, they’re not letting the world corrupt them.

A people who are not willfully sinning.

If we sin willfully, the Bible teaches there is no remission of sins until we repent, and quit doing what we are doing.

The blood of Christ does not cover a willful sin, If we know to do good and don’t do it, it becomes sin.

MATHEW 24: 32-42

32.Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know summer is nigh.

33. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled

35. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the Angels of Heaven, but my Father only.

37. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38. For as were in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.

39. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so also shall the Son of man be

40. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other one left.

42. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Jesus said we would know by the signs of the times when He would be coming back.

We have wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards where it doesn’t usually snow, California and Texas.

Jesus said lawlessness would increase.

Men’s hearts would fail them because of fear. (TERROR)

In Mathew 24:13 it says, But the one who endures to the end he will be saved.

Last week we talked about holding on and not letting go; it’s not worth the consequences.

We need to realize through the Parable of the Fig tree, that summer is near.

There are signs that show us Jesus could come back soon for that great catching away.

The coming of Jesus will compare to the days of Noah.

They were giving in marriage, drinking, and homosexuality abounded, they wanted to do their own thing.

Noah was a man of righteousness, as he was building the ark, He preached righteousness.

He also practiced right living.

He kept telling the people God told him a flood was going to happen, it’s going to rain.

He told them God told him to build an ark.

When he started to build an ark in the desert, the people thought he was crazy.

They had never even seen rain.

The people laughed, mocked, and ridiculed him.

Noah was able to call it as it was by faith, something had been revealed.

We’re supposed to be on the alert, Jesus is coming.

When He comes, He’s coming suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye.

The Word teaches us that we’re in the last days, dreams and visions are here.

These dreams and visions are to keep us from pride and to help us along our spiritual journey.

They can even warn people to get ready, because Jesus is coming back.

DREAM 2-3-2005

I dreamed Jesus was getting ready to come in the air, I could even see Him preparing behind the clouds. I knew the moment in time we were living in was grace.

Jesus is getting ready to come, I saw Him behind the clouds preparing.

The Word of God teaches us He’s coming with the clouds, In the dream I knew we were living in grace.

We need to tell people Jesus is coming back, God hasn’t changed His mind.

I really believe we’re living in the final minutes of time.

Tell people, to get their house in order.
