QUALITITES GOD DESIRES IN HIS SERVANTS
1.FAITHFUL
God looks for faithful , reliable and trustworthy people whom He can use for His glory. People who do not have a commitment to be be faithful and trustworthy in their responsiblities are creating hindrances to their usefulness to the kingdom of God.
2.FERVENT
Rom 12;11
God desires His servants to be fervent and enthusiastic about the tasks and responsibilities that He has given to them.A person who shows no interest in his work would soon disqualify himself and may have to hand over his work to another who is more active and involved in his labours.
3.FOCUSSED
Luke 9;62 , Hebrews 12;1-2 , Isaiah 30;21
God looks for people who are focussed on their work. Jesus said that a person who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. A divided heart and divided interests would surely make us ineffective in the kingdom of God.
4.FEAR OF GOD
God wants his servants to have reverential fear of him. A servant who despises his Master and fails to give him due honour will lose the favour of his Master. Although the Lord is a loving father to us , still as a Master he desires the honour and fear due to Him.
5.FIGHTER
Matthew 11;12 James 4;7
God looks for people who would get involved in His battles. There is an intense battle going on between the forces of darkness and the Kingdom of God. Anyone who wants to serve God should be willing to get involved in this warfare.
6.FAITH
Mark 9;23
God uses people who have faith. For without faith it is impossible to please God . A double minded person cannot receive anything from God. We must have a firm faith in God’s power and his willingness to use us inspite of our many weaknesses and failures.
7.FELLOWSHIP
John 15;4-5
God wants his servants to have an intimate relationship with Him.Our first responsibility is to love God with all our heart and to walk in close communion with Him. Any service we do for God without a close relationship with Him is not acceptable in his sight.Our fellowship with God would enable us to know his will for our lives and ensure that our service to God is according to His plans and purposes.
