Summary: To show that we declare GOD's WORDS even to our enemies.

I. EXORDIUM:

Did you encounter people trapping you with questions?

A lot of times. I just stay away. Corruption is a process and does not happen overnight.

Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.

III. OBJECTIVES:

To show that we declare GOD's WORDS even to our enemies.

IV. TEXT:

Mark 12:13

But they sent some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians to Him for the purpose of entrapping Him in His speech.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You protect me from sinful people and blessed me that I will not stand, sit and walk with them.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Two types of enemies

"But they sent some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians"

1. Pharisees - extremely religious people, separatist

2. Herodians - political people, intriguing people

Jeremiah 18:18

Then [my enemies] said, Come and let us devise schemes against Jeremiah; for the law [of Moses] shall not perish from the priest [as this false prophet Jeremiah predicts], nor will counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, let us smite him with the tongue [making a charge against him to the king], and let us not pay any attention to his words.

Matthew 22:15-16

Then the Pharisees went and consulted and plotted together how they might entangle Jesus in His talk.

And they sent their disciples to Him along with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that You are sincere and what You profess to be and that You teach the way of God truthfully, regardless of consequences and being afraid of no man; for You are impartial and do not regard either the person or the position of anyone.

Luke 11:54

Secretly watching and plotting and lying in wait for Him, to seize upon something He might say [that they might accuse Him].

There are two types of people that will not believe and will cling to their religiosity and political beliefs. Either way, they won't believe JESUS and they are enemies of JESUS and they, instead of listening to JESUS's teaching will spy on JESUS's teachings.

B. Entrapping of the speech by questions

"to Him for the purpose of entrapping Him in His speech"

Mark 3:6

Then the Pharisees went out and immediately held a consultation with the Herodians against Him, how they might [devise some means to] put Him to death.

Mark 8:15

And Jesus [repeatedly and expressly] charged and admonished them, saying, Look out; keep on your guard and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod and the Herodians.

Matthew 16:6

Jesus said to them, Be careful and on your guard against the leaven (ferment) of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Illustration: These people will not listen. I remember I have been wanting to win two souls for the LORD but these souls will not listen to GOD's WORDS, they mock GOD and they even use the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST as a curse, cussing word. Pity their soul, no matter how hard I try in the Spirit, I can't win them and they instead try to win me back to the god of this world, by encouraging me to drink beer, so I hesitated and I'm all alone again for the glory of GOD, moving on to the next soul that will seek GOD in truth and not in hypocrisy.

IX. CONCLUSION:

If our enemies will approach us with questions, WATCH OUT, be FOREWARNED, it's only a trap to gather proof against you.
