Summary: As we draw near to “Valentine’s Day” our thoughts are usually focused more on love. Love for our spouse, our family, our children, our loved-ones, and our friends. But we really can't talk about love without addressing the greatest of all love.

“Valentine's Day and Love!”

Near “Valentine’s Day” our thoughts are usually focused on love.

Love for our spouse, our family, our loved-ones, our friends.

But we can't talk about love without thinking of the greatest love.

*That’s the topic of our message... "The Love of God!”

Let's notice 4 things about the amazing love of God.

1. The love of God is Unequaled.

There is no other like it! It is the strongest of all love.

(Text) Ephesians 2:4-5

That love of God changed a slave trade shipper, John Newton.

Converted to Christ, Newton gave up the slave business, became a

preacher of the gospel, later writing the song "Amazing Grace!”

2. The love of God is Sacrificial.

Romans 5:8 - Demonstrated, proved, by Jesus taking our place!

Somebody asked, "How do I know God loves me?" Here is proof!

3. The love of God is Impartial.

Song “Red, yellow, back and white all are precious in His sight!”

John 3:16 - “God so loved the world!” (Men, women, young people)

4. The love of God is Unconditional.

Paul was the worst of sinners, but he obtained mercy. (I Tim 1:13)

Father to his little daughter, "Hon', I love you when you're GOOD."

Little daughter's reply, “Daddy, I love you ALL THE TIME."

5. The love of God is Eternal.

Jeremiah 31:3 - “I have loved thee with an everlasting love!”

Scripture says we'll be with our Lord forever. I Thessalonians 4:17

That is eternal life. The songwriter got it right when he penned...

"When we've been there 10,000 years, bright shinning as the sun,

We've no less days to sing God's praise, than when we first begun.
