Recent Events Series

Shalom friends,

In the news it seems all we are hearing about is the hurricane and the mess it has caused. Today I also heard how the aftermath effects are due to the federal government. I’d like to attempt to clear a few misconceptions as someone asked me a question today that I found important to address to more than just one person, because it is a major question that a lot of people have.

Is this hurricane a sign of the end times? This answer to this question depends on if you believe that the end times started when Yeshua died on the Cross. It also depends on how you view prophecy. If you view prophecy as not existent then the chances are your not going to believe that’s some of it has been fulfilled, is currently being fulfilled and in the future will come too complete fulfillment. My precious friends in Him, I want you to understand this, so we will begin with a text from the Word of the Lord.

Matthew 24:4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ’I am the Christ,[a]’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains."

The key to this passage is the context in which it occurs. Is the War in Iraq in Scripture? NO its not. Is it a rumor of a war or the realization of a war? Are not nations rising up against Iraq and other nations around the world. More people have died in the last one hundred and twenty years of war than ever in the history of man. Is the rumor or the realization of wars actually occurring? I think the overwhelming answer is absolutely yes. Are their more earthquakes occurring? Yes.

Is Hurricane Katrina a message from the Lord? As I was thinking about this over the last several days, I began to think especially about where these hurricanes strike. They are all focused seemingly every single time around Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama. I began to think what is in Florida and these surrounding states. Nothing of major signifiance is in either one of these states other than mostly vacation spots, golf courses, a few major corporations/ministries and other than that nothing of note struck me. Yet then think about this: Where do most of the college/high students or other adults go for vacation? In this region people go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, or for spring break in New Orleans or Florida. Now that got me seriously thinking for several reasons.

Why would seemingly all the hurricanes be focused on such a concentrated area if not for several reasons other than the obvious geographical location? Lets be honest here; a storm could develop on the West Coast just as easily as it could on the East Coast, so there must be some reason the Lord is trying to get the attention of the people, and perhaps the attention of an entire nation. Is the vacation lands of Florida and New Orleans a message to our nation? To be honest I can’t answer that question because I’m not the Lord Yeshua, but I can offer some suggestions and insight to help you during this time in our nations history.

When I looked at the Seattle Times the title of one of the front-page articles read: Destruction in a US city or something to that affect. I sat back having not had the news on in over a week thinking; gosh destruction in a Us city. My friends what must happen is this; power has to shift from America across the pond into Europe and the Middle east. This is already occurring everyday as we are seeing more interested in the United Nations and the interests of the European Union everyday revolve around Israel. Friends listen; we are in the times of preparation, but again, I’d like to stress I don’t know the day or the hour, because nobody knows.

The signs are very clear however that any day the Lord could come. In my Spirit I know that this hurricane was definitely a message of what the Lord has been saying to me. Destruction has to come to America until it finally sees that it is not what it really is. The American people are heavily taxed, and our technology is going to support nations that have not our best interests at hand. Its a fact people, and its time to wake up that the American government is really selling our heritage for a cheap lie. Why? They have been doing it for ages, its just the people are so comfortable with "freedom" that they don’t really want to see the fact that we are a brainwashed people. The facts are that if we knew the Truth we couldn’t handle it and massive hysteria would ensue. Friends its time that we took comfort in the shalom of the Lord, not the shalom of man.
