Summary: A simple children’s sermon using a remote control to explain prayer to children
Use the remote control and explain all of its intricacies. See what I brought today. It’s a remote control. This is how you change channels. This is how you change the volume. I try to use it on (fill in your wife’s name here) sometimes but it doesn’t work. Show the batteries, where the power comes from. Show the front where the invisible signal comes from. Then we relate it to Prayer. The power of prayer comes from faith (Mark 11:24). The signal refers to the fact that even though others don’t hear us pray, God still sees and understands the signal. When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane, he took his remote control. Because he really needed to talk with God. So he used it to seek God’s will in his life.
