REMOVE NOT THE LANDMARKS

Text: Proverbs 22:28 Isa. 60:12

In our day and time we are fastly losing the landmarks which were set before us.

Men fought and die for what they believed to right. When this country was founded there were certain landmarks which were set up by our forefathers.

I would like for us to see this morning some of the landmarks that have been torn down that our fathers have set up.

I. The Landmarks in Government and Nation

A. Our nation was not founded on....provolity (For Drinking, Partying, Lawlessness, Etc.

But it was founded so that you and I could go to church.

God has blessed the United States of America because He said,

"I will bless a nation whose God is the Lord"

But I want you to know that this is slowly coming to a halt. He is no longer there God.

No other nation has been blessed, other than Israel, like the U.S. and I know the reason why.

1. This nation was founded in faith not in provolity.

2. This nation was baptized in Blood, not in Bud or Coors or Jack Daniels.

3. This nation was Dedicated to the Freedom of worship.

B. We need to return to a since of gratitude for what God has done for our nation.

You see we have come a long way from Plymouth Rock.

Take Thanksgiving for example.

We nee to be thankful for the righteous birth of our nation. Brother this nation was founded for God and no other reason.

II. Not only in government but we nee to have the landmarks returned to our homes.

We need to return to a since of responsibility in our homes.

A. Dad’s being the head of the homes.

That means to be a leader not a dictator

Dads not provoking your children to wrath.

Tell them when something was good, praise!

B. Mothers not letting dad do what he is suppose to.

C. Children obeying their parents.

D. God is the center of the home.

III. Not only government and homes but we need to return to the landmarks in our churches.

We need to return to the fundamentals of the Faith.

A. A return to the local church.

God never invented the T.V. to be the local church.

B. We need a return to the landmark of preaching.

Preaching needs to return to the pulpits of America

C. A return to the landmark of prayer.

D. Landmark of purity.

Divorce, Adutery, sex before marriage.

E. Landmark of praise.

IV. Most important we need to return to the Word Of God.

A. We need to reed it.

B. We need to preach it.

C. We need to Live It.
