you
in the presence of God and (all those in attendance/these witnesses)
my (pledge/sacred promise) to stay by your side as your [opt: faithful] wife
in sickness and in health,
in joy and in sorrow, as well as
through the good times and the bad.
I (promise/further promise) to love you without reservation,
comfort you in times of distress,
encourage you to achieve (higher/all of your) goals,
laugh with you and cry with you,
grow with you in mind and spirit,
always be open and honest with you,
and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

#7a – Groom
My ___________, I have prayed for you as my wife and as God has truly answered my prayers, I praise and thank Him for His faithfulness for I have delighted in knowing you and loving you. I look forward to being your Christian husband for as long as we both shall live. I will love you as Christ loved the church and died for her. I will love you during the good times and the difficult times for we know the Lord is our Savior and our guide. You shall always be my bride and I give myself to you this day. I love you, ___________.

#7b – Bride
Dear ___________, I thank God for a man such as you, strong in the faith of the Lord, loving the Word, I know that it has been the will of God to bring us together to this day and I praise God for His goodness to me in bringing you to my side. I will love you and will submit to you as to the Lord. I give myself to you this day, I love you, ___________.

#8a - Groom
______, I love you and I know that this love is from God. Because of this, I want to be your husband so that we might serve Christ together. Through all of the uncertainties and trials of the present and future, I promise to be faithful to you and love you. I promise to guide and protect you as Christ does his church, as long as we both shall live. God’s Word gives us the perfect example of this love in Christ’s death for the Church. I shall try always, with God’s help, to show you this same kind of love, for I know that in His sight we will both be one.

#8b - Bride
______, I love you. I prayed that God would lead me to his choice. I praise Him that tonight His will is being fulfilled. Through the pressures of the present and uncertainties of the future I promise my faithfulness, to follow you through all of life’s experiences as you follow God, that together we may grow in the likeness of Christ and our home be a praise to Him.

#9
______, I give you this ring, wear it with love and joy. I choose you to be my (wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward for better or for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish as long as we both shall live.

#10
I love you, ______, and I thank the Lord for the love that has bound our hearts and lives together in spiritual fellowship of marriage. I will love, honor and cherish you always. I will love you in sickness as in health, in poverty as in wealth, in sorrow as in joy, and will be true to you by God’s grace.
