Deuteronomy 17:15 (Amplified Bible)

You shall surely set as king over you him whom the Lord your God will choose. One from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner, who is not your brother, over you.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are my GOD that sets a ruler over your people and it pleases You to choose us as Israel of GOD.

be sure to appoint over you the king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your own brothers. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not a brother Israelite.

King Solomon is a native Israelite and he was chosen by the LORD to be the next king after King David, his father.

B. Don't place over you a foreigner who is not an Israelite

"Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not a brother Israelite."

Jeremiah 30:21 (Amplified Bible)

And their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will come from the midst of them. I will cause him to draw near and he will approach Me, for who is he who would have the boldness and would dare [on his own initiative] to approach Me? says the Lord.
