Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

While at rest healing from pneumonia I watched a documentary on the History channel about the Alaska Highway and how and why it was built.

The attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7,1941 led to one of the greatest engineering feats of the century. Recognizing that the U.S. West Coast, Canada and all of Alaska were open to possible Japanese invasion, President Franklin D. Roose-velt ordered the construction of the “Alaska Canada Military Highway" on February 11, 1942.

This road would be used to supply forces in Alaska and airfields located and planned along the West Coast.

Here are some incredible facts about this great feat of Americas determination for protection of its people. 1,523 miles in length from Dawson Creek to Fairbanks. It took 11,000 U.S. Troops used in construction - 5 regiments of U.S. Army Engineers and 16,000 civilian workers - 41 American and 13 Canadian contractors. 7,000 pieces of equipment and also 133 bridges constructed.

All of this was completed in only 8 months and 12 days working in almost impossible conditions. 70 degrees below zero temperatures in some places.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt and leaders of our country knew that the enemy would invade at the closest place possible to its citizens. So, they built a road to head off the enemy and build a fortress of protection for its people.

The Bible warns us time after time about the war we fight as Christians each day. Verse 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

I don't think that Satan stays up late at night working in Night Clubs and bars or maybe the underworld. He goes to bed early so he can be at church on Sunday morning and any other time the church doors are open.

Folks, he already has the world...he wants you! We are his biggest enemy and he would like to sift us like sand.

The spiritual battle is being fought wherever a man is giving out the Word of God, where a church is standing for the Word of God. That is the place the Devil wants to destroy, and that is the place of the spiritual battle.

Sometimes the most dangerous place you can be is in church on Sunday morning. Where was the most dangerous place in Jerusalem the night Jesus was arrested?

The most dangerous place was in the Upper Room with Jesus. Do you know why? That is where the Devil was that night. He entered into Judas Iscariot to betray Him. The Devil was there! I believe both Judas Iscariot and Simon Peter would testify that was the most dangerous place to have been that night in Jerusalem. We need to recognize where the battle is being fought. It's on the front line with the Christian and we must put on the whole armor of God to withstand.

Verse says 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Make sure your feet are planted in the word of God. Our feet is the foundation in which we stand. Jesus is the foundation. "On Christ the solid Rock I stand , all other ground is sinking sand." Love in Christ Jesus, Ronnie Miller www.themillersbiblestudy.com
