Summary: Promotion comes from God

Steps To Promotion

Promotion comes from God

Psalm 75:5-7 - Do not lift up your horn on high; Do not speak with a stiff neck.' " For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another.

1. Humility

1 Peter 5:6-7 - Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Humility is the opposite of pride. Proud people are boastful, self-sufficient, think they are better than others, defiant towards God, and promote themselves and idol worship.

2. Seek God

Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God is:

* Your guide

* Your light

* Your strength

* Your healer

* Your provider

* Your salvation

Give up what is yours and take what is His. Everything begins and ends with God.

3. Make a new commitment every day

Psalm 7:11 - God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day.

Psalm 145:2 - Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever.

God only supplies our needs for each and every day.

Psalm 68:19 - Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah

4. Be anointed every day

Ephesians 5:18 - And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled (and continually filled) with the Spirit..

Psalm 92:10 - But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.

To walk in the Spirit one must be continuously filled with God’s Spirit. Spiritual warfare to waged by the enemy on a continuous basis.

5. Submit to God’s will

Discover your divine purpose and submit to God’s plan for your life.

Luke 22:42 -saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."

6. Study God’s Word

Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

7. Be patient

James 5:7-8 - Therefore be patient until the coming of the Lord. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

Be patient until God makes things happen in your life. Do not birth things prematurely. Wait for God’s perfect timing.

8. Be victorious

Make sure you win the battles fought against you by the enemy. Be determined to win. You have to be a winner.

9. Be obedient

1 Samuel 15:22 - So Samuel said: "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.

King Saul lost his destiny because of his disobedience.

Obey God, Obey His Word, Obey the leading of the Spirit, Obey spiritual leaders
