By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com (Check out Wade Hughes on YouTube) (Two part lesson)

TALITHA CUMI: (Tal –e –tha CUE- me,)

GOD ARISE IS IN THE BIBLE 23 TIMES. ARISE IS IN THE BIBLE 256 TIMES… THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH US HEARING THIS CALL?

THERE IS A TIME WHERE WE MUST TAKE THE POWER OR OPPORTUNITY THAT IS BEFORE US… THERE IS A TERM OF A DEGREE OF HONOR. (TAL-E-THA CUE-ME)

** There is a term of endearment and a honored motto in ARAMAIC in history TALITHA CUMI. ( Tal – e --tha CUE – ME)

TALITHA CAN MEAN LITTLE LAMB (JESUS.) When Jesus said TALITHA CUMI he takes the girl by the hand in compassion and gentleness. JESUS SAYS: MY LITTLE --- LAMB IT IS TIME TO GET UP… and then Jesus restores life into her body.

Mark 5:39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. 40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. 41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. 42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

TALITHA is a rare feminine name used meaning “LITTLE GIRL.” Jesus resurrected a dead child with the words:

**TALITHA CUMI… or TALITHA KUM or TALITHA KOUM.

The significance of the ARAMAIC WORDS RELEASE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY. GET UP, LITTLE GIRL… JESUS MAKES A BEAUTIFUL LESSON COME TO LIFE: MY LITTLE LAMB --- IT IS TIME TO GET UP…

*ARISE: to get up from kneeling, sitting or reclining; to come into being, to awaken and see; to come into existence; to move upwards; to become active; to ascend; to climb a mountain; to revive from the dead; to emerge out of poverty.

*RISE: to move up; to stand up; to emerge out of a problem; to get up, TO MOVE HIGHER AND HIGHER.

WE GO THROUGH SPIRITUAL SEASONS --- THERE IS A TIME TO ACCEPT AND ACKNOWLEDGE MY LOVE CALLS ME --- ARISE MY LOVE! IT IS TIME TO ARISE, GET UP!

Song of Songs 2:10 My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. 11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; 12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

I think the Holy Spirit is calling God’s people. JESUS IS COMING BACK… FOR HIS LOVE, THE CHURCH. Can we hear the message? Hear what God is speaking to us! ARISE! Get up, my friend, and BE READY—come to THE FOOT OF THE CROSS! The season of change is before us. The cold times are over… NEW LIFE CAN SPRING FORTH. IT IS TIME TO WORSHIP AND SING PRAISE. IT IS TIME TO BE MORE FAITHFUL THAN EVER BEFORE.

WE HAVE A CHOICE! LAY IN THIS MESS OR ARISE! IT IS HIGH TIME TO AWAKE… WILL WE PICK UP THE BATON AND ADVANCE THE CALL TO ARISE? WHAT WILL BE OUR FIRST STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION? CAN THE LORD DEPEND ON OUR DECISIONS TO RUN…

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Ephesians 5:14 (MSG) Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light!

WILL WE PICK UP THE BATON AND ADVANCE THE CALL TO ARISE? ARE WE IGNITING THE LOST AND BACKSLIDDEN?

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

38 LONG YEARS OF A CHRONIC PROBLEM: DO YOU WANT TO BE MADE WHOLE? WHAT DO YOU WANT MY FRIEND? QUIT MAKING EXCUSES: GET UP!

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
