The Anchor Of A Bible Based Family Series

Summary: the storms of life will come to all of us, we need to cast out 4 anchors that will prevent our lives from being ship wretched.
• We need the bible based family
Heb 11
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. 31 By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.
32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Heb 11 is the hall of fame that god begins to list
• Samsung – slew philtines
• ‘Gideon defeated 300000 army with 300 men
• David
• Daniel who stop the mouth of lion
But in the middle of these high achievers he list 3 families that did do anything significant did not defeat armies and lions defeat giants yet god say they deserve to be in my hall of fame and have heroes status in the kingdom of god even though they never lifted a sword or fought a battle
Only one reason because they saved their families
Know that you are saved by the blood of Jesus and his grace
Help get your family saved
a. Help point our family to Jesus, it is important that you be saved and your family be saved
The first thing that God established was not the church but it was family it was the home, when God made a man he said it is not good for a man to be alone so he made him a eve and here is the first family on earth
Gen3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
The devil came to the first home that first family and attacked with deception when he was through with family they were destroyed and full of fear and begin to fight and Cain killed able. That is what the devil wants to do to every home, his desire is to destroy and confuse that home and bring fear into that home and get the kids on drugs and alcohol and destroy the home
Satan knows if he can destroy the family unit he can destroy the moral fibre of society.
John 2 – wedding feast 2 Jesus also was invited with His disciples to the wedding.
Jesus performed his first miracle at the marriage feast to say to the devil you destroyed the first family and I am going to restore the family
He did his first miracle and will still do miracles for the family.
God come to town he wants to start where I started before I wanted to start in the home.
