Topic: The Fading Sound Of Freedom!

We are seeing our freedom steadily eroding - one Nation under God is no longer the norm - the Liberty Bell has ceased ringing - the Declaration of Independence is all but abandoned - and, the Constitution is under mass attack! Let’s talk about America!

The United States of America has enjoyed the blessings of Almighty God like no other nation in history - make no mistake about it - our blessings have come from Almighty God - they did not come by human hands; nor, did they "just happen that way!"

The late great 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln (1809 - 1865) once said, "...We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God, We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these things were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us."

The history of the American people is in large measure the story of an adventure in faith and belief. From the Mayflower Compact until recently, Americans have always accorded Almighty God and the search for the Eternal, a special place in their lives and their thoughts - but, no longer! There is a concerted effort to remove Almighty God from the public arena - and, it is having disastrous results!

The Mayflower Compact was the very beginning of the United States of America:

***"In the Name of God. Amen. We whose names are
***underwritten, the loyal subjects of our dread
***sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God of
***Great Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender
***of the Faith, etc.

***Having undertaken for the Glory of God and
***advancement of the Christian Faith and Honour of
***our King and Country, a Voyage to plant the First
***Colony in the Northern Parts of Virginia, do by
***these presents solemnly and mutually in the
***presence of God and one of another, Covenant and
***Combine ourselves together into a Civil Body
***Politic, for our better ordering and preservation
***and furtherance of the ends aforesaid; and by
***virtue hereof to enact, constitute and frame such
***just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts,
***Constitutions and Offices, from time to time, as
***shall be thought most meet and convenient for the
***general good of the Colony, unto which we promise
***all due submission and obedience. In witness
***whereof we have hereunder subscribed our names at
***Cape Cod, the 11th of November, in the year of the
***reign of our Sovereign Lord King James, of England,
***France and Ireland the eighteenth, and of Scotland
***the fifty-fourth. Anno Domini 1620."
