THE GOD OF DANIEL: SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION AND DELIVERANCE
1.SYMPATHY
The God of Daniel caused favour and sympathy to be shown towards Daniel by the authorities who were in charge of Daniel. Daniel was only a captive in Babylon. There was no reason why any special favour should be shown towards Daniel. He was a total stranger there. But the God of Daniel caused this favour and grace to be shown towards him. Even in our lives we can believe God to grant such favour and sympathy to us in the eyes of all those who are responsible over us including the authorities with whom we have to deal with in our responsibilities.
2.SKILLS
The God of Daniel granted him all the skills and wisdom and knowledge and learning that he needed in order to succeed in his responsibilities. Daniel was outstanding in executing all his responsibilities. He was full of divine wisdom and extraordinary skills. There was a supernatural ability enabling Daniel to be extremely successful. Even in our lives we can believe God to grant us such a divine wisdom and talent to succeed in all our endeavours.
3.SHOWS
The God of Daniel showed him many revelations through dreams and visions . Daniel was given a divine ability to interpret dreams and visions. God revealed many truths to Daniel through dreams and visions. This ability brought opportunities to Daniel to serve the king on many important issues and occasions. He was also highly honoured for these unique abilities. Even in our lives we can believe God to communicate to us through dreams and visions given by the Holy Spirit. This ability will make our lives a great blessing to many. God will even give us revelations about things to come .
4.SOVEREIGN
The God of Daniel is a Sovereign God who rules over the nations. God has the power to remove a king and replace him with another king. Nations are under his control. No human authority can stand against His will. God has the power to crush the pride of earthly rulers and make them realize that there is a God above whose hands control the destinies of nations and individuals. Even in our lives we can trust in this Sovereign God whose authority can subdue all human authority which comes against us.
5.SECRETS
Daniel 2: 22 , 28 , 47
The God of Daniel reveals secrets. All the secrets of the Universe are known to God. All the past , present and future are known to God. God revealed many importants secrets to Daniel. Daniel could tell the rulers the destinies of their nation. He could reveal their impending doom and destruction because God revealed it to him. Even in our lives we can believe God to reveals His secrets to us. There may be many conspiracies and snares unknown to us. But God can reveal these secrets to warn us and to help us to be prepared to face it.
6.SHUTS
The God of Daniel sent His angel and shut the mouth of the lion. When Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den , the lions could not do him any harm because God had sent His angel to shut the mouth of the lion. But the same lions violently destroyed the enemies of Daniel when they were thrown into the lion’s den. Therefore the lions which normally destroy people were supernaturally restrained from showing their normal aggressive and destructive behaviour towards Daniel. Even in our lives we can believe God to supernaturally restrain and shut the mouth of those who are normally dangerous and violent . God can prevent them from causing any harm to us.
7.SIGNS
The God of Daniel is a living God who does signs and wonders to rescue and deliver His people. God delivered Daniel supernaturally from the power of the lions. Even the King could not deliver Daniel and was forced to put Daniel in the lion’s den because He had to abide by the law of the land. But God demonstrated His mighty power and protected Daniel from being destroyed by the lions. Even in our lives we can believe God to perform signs and wonders in our lives to rescue us and deliver us from all harm and danger that threaten our lives.
