2. The Righteousness of His Reign.v. 1-7

2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness,

7 In his days shall the righteous flourish;

Fulfilled in Christ Alone - Isa. 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Rev. 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ;

and he shall reign for ever and ever.

2 Pet. 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

3. The Responsibility of His Reign. –

5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

A healthy fear which is:

[F] Filial [E] Eclipsing (Above all else) [A] Accountable to God and [R] Reverential

4. The Reach of His Reign. v. 8-14

It's Scope - 8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth

It's Sovereignty - 11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him

It's Sympathy - 12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. 13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

He Gives Help to the Helpless -

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

5. The Riches of His Reign.

Power - 15 And he shall live,

Provision - and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba:

Prayer - prayer also shall be made for him continually;

Praise - and daily shall he be praised.

6. The Rejoicing of His Reign.

17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Jesus shall reign where'er the sun, does its successive journeys run,

his kingdom stretch from shore to shore, till moons shall wax and wane no more.
